Did you know that the concept of integrating educational elements with physical fitness tools for children isn't entirely modern? In fact, back in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, educators and inventors were already on the path to creating engaging and fun ways to keep kids active. One of the most whimsical examples is the invention of the pogo stick, which was patented in 1919. Originally designed as a toy, it quickly became a fun way for children to develop balance and coordination. This playful approach to combining physical activity with entertainment laid the groundwork for today's specialized fitness tools for kids, which now include a wide range of products designed to enhance both their physical and cognitive development. The evolution of children's fitness tools has been remarkable. From simple jump ropes to high-tech interactive gaming systems that encourage movement, the focus has always been on making physical activity enjoyable. These innovations are not just about keeping kids physically active; they also aim to improve their mental agility and social skills. By engaging in these activities, children learn the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and setting personal goals. The journey from the simple pogo stick to today's multifaceted fitness tools reflects a growing understanding of the holistic benefits of integrating play with physical and mental development. #ChildhoodFitness #PhysicalActivity #EducationalPlay #PogoStick #InnovationInPlay #FitnessEvolution #ActiveKids #HealthyLiving #MentalAgility #Teamwork #GoalSetting #FunFitness

Check out this great piece by Applied Sport Scientist, Joey Szymkowicz. His latest blog explores the psychological effects of Exerfly on the weight room environment, from coaches in the field👇🏻
Please check out my new blog post about the effects of Exerfly on the weight room environment. This blog was inspired by a lot of the conversations that I've had with high school coaches across the east coast. It is much less about the scientific aspect of flywheel training and more about how the Exerfly and our app (which is free) can positively impact buy-in, motivation, and competitiveness. https://lnkd.in/gEg6F-WA #Exerfly #flywheeltraining #Weightroombuyin #Highschoolstrengthandconditioning

Our first-born, highly analytical, super competitive son Harry came home from school after learning about SMART goals (a pretty great lesson for a second grade class). He proudly announced "For math, my goal this year is to get a B!" Ummmm ... WHAT?!?! No. Unless it's Organic Chemistry, the goal should never be to get a B. If you are part of the fitness industry and you don't have goals set for your group fitness department, check out my most recent article.
Have you set group fitness goals for this year? In our latest blog post, VP of Business Development, Jeffrey Pinkerton, helps you set goals for three critical components of your group fitness department - participation, people, and programming. Read the entire article here: https://lnkd.in/e6AWw834

🥇Personal Trainer & Online Coach To The 1% I help entrepreneurs build muscle, lose fat & optimise health, with multi-award winning personal coaching
The secret sauce to a V-Shape tapered physique? 🔥Deltoids! Try the incline bench reverse fly; it hits the spot. Keep tempo slow, ideally 2 seconds up, 1/2 second pause at the top, and at least 2 seconds down. Zero momentum. And the key I mention in the video: internally rotate your humerus as you lift, bringing your arms to 10 & 2 o’clock. Attention to detail is something I pride myself on when it comes to fitness programming. I view programme creation for my clients as somewhat like an art form, as well as an algorithm. And it’s this meticulous focus that creates separation for me as a Trainer & Online Coach, and for my clients. If you’d like to learn more about how I work with my clients globally, then I’d love to hear from you. DM me and I’ll be in touch 👍🏽 Intelligent Programming.
