This week, we turned Blue Monday into Purple Monday! 💜 While some call it Blue Monday, we’re flipping the narrative. The gloomy weather, post-holiday routines, and New Year pressure can weigh us down, so we’re embracing Purple Monday to celebrate the old-but-gold YOU. This morning, the team reflected on last year’s wins, decorated coasters, and enjoyed an incredible breakfast spread to carry positive energy into 2025. We hope to inspire everyone to reflect on the things they’re proud of and their achievements from last year. Let’s celebrate what we already have and want to keep in 2025 because “the privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.” 🙌

The idea of ‘Blue Monday,’ the so-called most difficult day of the year, has been debunked. The truth is, we all experience good and bad days for many different reasons—life doesn’t follow a calendar. That’s why Samaritans encourage us to turn the day around with Brew Monday—a chance to connect with those around us over a cup of tea, coffee, or your favourite brew. From a workplace perspective, why not take this opportunity to step away from your to-do list and sit down with a colleague for a chat? A simple conversation can go a long way in fostering a caring and supportive work environment where everyone feels valued and heard.

🌧️ Blue Monday...? Let’s Have a Brew! ☕ The 20th of January is sometimes referred to as "Blue Monday" - a day often regarded as being one of the most mentally and emotionally challenging of the year. So today at team Matrix, we’re asking our colleagues to focus on connection, #kindness, and supporting those who are feeling the blue monday effect by offering a chat over a cup of tea. Why? you might ask. Well, it’s iIn support of Samaritans’ Brew Monday campaign – a fantastic annual initiative that aims to recognise how people may feel during this time of year and support them to move through it. Our people and Social Value team have set up both in-person and online 'meet for tea' breaks for colleagues across today. These informal sessions are a chance to take a break, chat, and check in with each other. Because sometimes, all it takes is a simple conversation to change someone’s day. 💙 Whether you’re part of Team Matrix or beyond, we encourage everyone to reach out to loved ones, friends, or colleagues today. 💙 Take a moment to connect, share a laugh, and remember - you’re not alone. 💙 #BrewMonday #BlueMonday #ConnectingPeopletoWork
