Some takeaways: - Cognitive Load Theory (CLT) reveals that our cognitive capacity is limited. Videos designed with CLT in mind avoid overwhelming learners by breaking down information into smaller, more manageable pieces, using clear narration, and supporting concepts with visuals. This approach not only makes learning more accessible but also more memorable. - The Multimedia Principle, championed by Richard Mayer, highlights the importance of combining relevant visuals with verbal explanations. Keyword is "relevant" - Shorter continues to be better. Not only to increase the modularity of your content and adapt to changing attention spans, but also to reduce maintenance.
