Reintroducing Myself – Maureen, Master Neuroplastician & Transformation Leader I am thrilled to share that I have recently been awarded the Master Neuroplastician Certificate by the Institute of Organizational Neuroscience in collaboration with npnHub | Uniting Experts and Learners in Applied Neuroscience. This achievement marks a significant milestone in my journey of leveraging neuroscience, neuroplasticity, emotional intelligence (EQ), and neuroleadership to transform leaders and professionals. As the CEO of The Mindsight Academy, I have dedicated my career to intertwining science and leadership to foster personal and professional growth. Last year, I expanded this mission by founding the Mindsight Women's Network (MWN), integrating a faith element to support women in a unique and powerful way. Here’s a glimpse of what I do: 🧠 Neuroplasticity & Neuroscience: By leveraging the power of neuroplasticity, I help leaders rewire their brains for enhanced decision-making and optimum performance. 🧠 Emotional Intelligence from a Neuroscience Perspective: Developing EQ is crucial for effective leadership. I provide neuroscience-based tools and strategies to boost emotional intelligence, fostering better relationships and communication through a deep understanding of how the brain works. 🧠 Neuroleadership: I guide leaders in understanding and applying neuroscience principles to enhance their leadership skills, drive innovation, and improve organisational culture. 🧠 Faith & Personal Development: At MWN, we create an enriched environment where faith-filled, action-taking women can grow and thrive by harmonising the wisdom of science with the teachings of scripture. My journey began from a place of failure, after closing my business and feeling like I had hit rock bottom. It was through learning the magic of rewiring the brain that I discovered we are limitless. This transformative experience fuels my passion to help others unlock their potential. I am immensely proud of the transformative work we’ve accomplished over the years, helping leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs achieve significant personal and professional growth. If you’re ready to take action and transform your life, reach out to me. Thanks Dr Fiona Warner-Gale for this article on Neuroplasticity. It reinforces the need to break patterns every now and then, take the path less travelled or an alternate path and most importantly to keep an open mind to learn something new every day. The infographic is very good!

The brain's ability to change fascinates me... but it’s also made me acutely aware of the possibility of changing it for the worse rather than for the better. As leaders, we often celebrate adaptability and growth, but the brain’s capacity for change—neuroplasticity—has a double edge. This is known as the 'plastic paradox'. Neuroplasticity allows us to evolve, learn new skills, and innovate. But, it can also reinforce negative habits and unhelpful patterns if we don’t challenge them. For leaders, this means that while our brains are wired to adapt, they can just as easily solidify behaviours that hold us back. Here’s what to keep in mind: - Be mindful of habits: What you do repeatedly, good or bad, becomes more ingrained over time. Be intentional about creating positive leadership habits. - Challenge existing patterns: If something isn’t working, break the cycle. Disrupt old ways of thinking to create room for growth. - Model adaptability: When you embrace change and challenge your own habits, you inspire your team to do the same. The brain is always learning—whether for better or worse. We can make it work in our favour. #Leadership #Neuroscience #Neuroplasticity #LeadershipDevelopment #coaching If you are curious about how to harness the power of your brain, why not get in touch with me and we can book a chat to talk about what neuroscience can do for you through our cutting-edge brain-based leadership and stress mastery programmes and coaching. As a senior leader, I help leaders harness their potential, by elevating their impact at work. Award-winning International Executive and Leadership Coach | Women Leadership Coach | Keynote Speaker | Piraeus Bank I ICF
🧠💡 Unlocking the Neuroscience Behind Effective Leadership 💡🧠 I started diving into the neuroscience behind leadership, and here's what happened: 1. I realized leadership isn't just about decision-making, but understanding people at a deeper, emotional level. 2. Discovered that our prefrontal cortex, responsible for emotional regulation, plays a pivotal role in empathy, essential for effective leadership. 3. Learned that our brain's neuroplasticity allows us to refine our leadership skills over time, making decision-making and problem-solving easier. 4. Found out that mindfulness and strategic thinking can help strengthen our neural pathways, making us more resilient and adaptable leaders. 5. Realized the importance of stress management in leadership. Our amygdala, which triggers our fight or flight response, needs to be controlled to maintain composure during high-pressure situations. 6. I learned that the neuroscience of leadership is about harnessing our brain's potential to enhance our innate leadership abilities. It combines EQ, adaptability, and resilience. 7. Acknowledged that as we understand more about our brain, we can become not just better leaders but better humans. Neuroscience isn't just for scientists; it's a tool for every one of us to unleash our leadership potential. Ready to harness the power of your brain to become a transformative leader? Brain check?!?! As humans, we are always looking for what’s wrong with us. This is partially a survival response from our brain constantly scanning for danger because, ugh, it still thinks we live in a cave and may be eaten by a saber-toothed tiger. Our brain is so powerful that it takes breaking down these neural pathways to begin to think differently. Yes, there are actual neural pathways that fire automatically without us thinking about it. This, of course, is great when you are truly in danger but isn’t always helpful in everyday life. So how do we take control of our brain and begin asking “What is Right with Us?” I bet if you could block out the constant internal chatter about what is wrong with you, there would be so many many things that are so right with you! As women, we have been raised to always believe there is something wrong with us and that we constantly need fixing. If you are in a leadership role, you are probably having many thoughts about how you think your leadership is flawed. Well, I want you to know, that nothing has gone wrong, it’s just our sneaky brains. But, most of us need help to work through the chatter and constant internal criticizing. Let’s stop giving our brains so much power over us. Let’s take back control so you can show up confidently with “all the what’s right with you” in your leadership role. Take the next step… book a Breakthrough Call: https://lnkd.in/gHd-2X_c #leadership #lifecoach #lifecoaching #coachingthroughtrauma #stephaniebyerlymd

“The ABILITY TO CHANGE” “The measure of Intelligence is The #ABILITYTOCHANGE” - Albert Einstein “Embracing CHANGE is a hallmark of EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP” “Strategies to enhance your #ABILITYTOADAPT :” 1. “Neuroplasticity Cultivation” - “Engage in #continuouslearning to stimulate #neuroplasticity.” - “Foster a culture that values diverse perspectives, challenging the brain to #rewire and adapt.” 2. “#CognitiveResilience Building” - “Frame setbacks as opportunities for growth, leveraging the brain's capacity to #reframe and #adapt.” “NEUROPLASTICITY, also referred to as brain plasticity, is a term used to describe changes to the brain that happen throughout the lifespan in response to new experiences.” - “The human brain is now considered to be a highly dynamic and constantly reorganizing system capable of being shaped and #reshaped across an entire lifespan. It is believed that every experience alters the brain’s organization at some level. Neuroplasticity refers to the lifelong capacity of the brain to change and rewire itself in response to the stimulation of #learning and #experience.” https://lnkd.in/eV_HB6Kg Source - original post Read all my posts #MariusPreston
Embracing change is a hallmark of effective leadership, a trait deeply rooted in organizational neuropsychology. Here are three strategies to enhance your ability to adapt: 1. **Neuroplasticity Cultivation** - Engage in continuous learning to stimulate neuroplasticity. - Foster a culture that values diverse perspectives, challenging the brain to rewire and adapt. - Encourage team members to explore cross-functional roles, fostering cognitive flexibility. 2. **Cognitive Resilience Building** - Prioritize mindfulness practices to cultivate emotional regulation and cognitive resilience. - Establish a supportive work environment that encourages open dialogue about challenges and lessons learned. - Frame setbacks as opportunities for growth, leveraging the brain's capacity to reframe and adapt. 3. **Strategic Change Management** - Implement change gradually, allowing the brain to adjust without overwhelming cognitive resources. - Clearly communicate the purpose and benefits of change, activating the brain's intrinsic motivation. - Provide ongoing support through mentorship and resources, ensuring a smoother neural transition. In a rapidly evolving professional landscape, the ability to navigate change is not merely a skill; it's a cognitive asset. Leaders who harness the principles of organizational neuropsychology empower themselves and their teams to thrive amidst uncertainty.
