7moWell put! It is not always 'more the better' in contrast to popular opinion. Recent models like Phi-2 clearly demonstrate that quality of data matters a lot and can save significant burning of resources and unnecessary 'after-toil' for damage control. Simple is small is better than large and ugly. Unfortunately there is still so much hype about how many billion params a model has! Hope to see rationalization soon with practical insights from the trenches and not just 'lab reports'. Well put by Microsoft in their Phi2 release - Textbooks is all you need 😊
