Helping changemakers navigate burnout ✨ Leadership Coach I Mindfulness Teacher I Speaker I Nonprofiteer
One of the most common misconceptions about mindfulness is that it's selfish. It's navel gazing. It does nothing to heal systems of oppression. My friends, this couldn't be farther than the truth! To heal our world and build just systems, we need more humans practicing mindfulness, compassion, and wise action. Here's some of my favorite books on the intersection of mindfulness and social justice: 💛 The Inner Work of Racial Justice: Healing Ourselves and Transforming Our Communities Through Mindfulness by Rhonda V. Magee 💛 You Belong: A Call for Connection by Sebene Selassie 💛 Real Change: Mindfulness to Heal Ourselves and the World by Sharon Salzberg What resources have supported you around mindfulness + social justice? I'd love to hear. PS - Our next free Mindfulness Community for Changemakers gatherings are April 3 and April 24, from 5:30-6pm central. I'd love to see you there. Join my email community for details and the audio recording of the last session on shifting from fear to love. https://lnkd.in/gpu-Gkac #mindfulness #nonprofits #compassion #socialjustice
