This is a really great initiative/Idea, Renu Juneja, PhD! It would resolve the issue of Postdoc experiences allegedly being bad for a non-academic career (and largely not a good idea for an academic one, because they rarely improve one's prospects). There definitely needs to be more industry engagement with PhDs, and not just those in STEM fields. We're working on that! Our Founder is currently drafting an 'explainer', for recruiters/hiring managers/employers, on what a PhD is (because so many PhDs have had bad experiences with 'traditional' recruiters). That will be going up on the help & advice section here soon: https://lnkd.in/eGm-Ru-R Perhaps there should also be one on 'What is a Postdoc, and why you should sponsor/run a fellowship program'...🤔 We're looking for guest article authors, if you're interested, Renu, alternatively our Founder would be happy to collaborate on such an article with you for the global community website.

My BIG request for companies and agency partners is to start post-doctoral fellowship programs for PhDs. We need both PhDs and PharmDs in the industry. Fortunately, we have a number of PharmD fellowships going on and they add a tremendous value. I have started Post-doctoral fellowship for PhDs at each of the three companies I worked at and will be happy to get you started.
