Extremely grateful for the opportunity to present our most recent method development on In-situ Rb-Sr Age Mapping of K-rich Minerals in the 2024 International Geological Congress in Busan, Republic of Korea! I will be presenting this poster on Thursday 29th of August so please come along for a chat if you're attending the conference. The technique utilises a rastering approach combined with the online separation of Rb and Sr to collect petrological, geochemical, and age data simultaneously. This method allows for the selection and separation of multiple age populations from generations of K-phases in complex samples. As always, a massive thank you to my co-authors and project partners University of Adelaide , Geological Survey of the Northern Territory of Australia, MinEx CRC, Santos Ltd, Teck Resources Limited, BHP, CSIRO, and Empire Energy Group who's made this work possible. I would also like to thank the The Australian Academy of Science for their generous support in helping me attend the event through their Early Career grant award. #geology #geochronology #resources #earthscience #research

This is so cool. I dabbled with laser mapping during my PhD. It's amazing to now have raster mineral (isotope!) dating become a reality.
