#SaudiArabia has revised upwards estimates for its untapped mineral resources including phosphate, gold and rare earths to $2.5 trillion, from a 2016 forecast of $1.3 trillion, its mining minister said. Rajasthan Government Accelerates Mine Auctions: The state plans to hasten the auction process for both minor and major mine blocks to curb illegal mining by preparing and auctioning as many blocks as possible. 3. Surge in Electric Mining Vehicles Market: IDTechEx's market research report forecasts significant growth in the electric mining vehicle market, driven by advancements in battery and charging technology, projecting a valuation of nearly $23 billion by 2044. 4. India's Critical Mineral Acquisition in Africa: India is intensifying efforts to secure critical minerals in Africa, challenging China's dominance. Norway Sued Over Deep-Sea Mining Plans: Environmental activists are suing the Norwegian government over its seabed mineral exploration plans, arguing that the potential impacts have not been adequately assessed. 10. Hindalco Bids for Nickel-Cobalt Mines: Hindalco has submitted bids for two nickel-cobalt mines located in Maharashtra and Karnataka, according to the company's managing director.
