MPS has launched a new paid teacher apprenticeship program in collaboration with North Branch Area Public Schools, Owatonna Public Schools, Minnesota State University, Mankato and the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. Last week, we celebrated the kickoff of this innovative program and welcomed our first cohort of 25 soon-to-be licensed educators. MPS Superintendent Dr. Lisa Sayles-Adams had some inspiring words for the group, saying “You all are pioneers… I’m really excited for you.” The Forward Together program creates an accessible pathway into teaching, ensuring that new educators are well-prepared to make a positive impact from day one.
