❤️ 💚 Minot Area Chamber EDC was a proud supporter of Minot State University's 2024 Energy Day game. Energy Day is sponsored thanks to the cooperation of local businesses and energy companies from across North Dakota, and we truly had a ball! 🏈 The attending companies competed for the Buckshot's BBQ Trophy and were judged by a panel that included our President | CEO Brekka Kramer MSU President Dr. Steven Shirley, MSU Director of Alumni Engagement Courtney Brekhus, and MSU Vice President for Student Affairs & Intercollegiate Athletics Kevin Harmon. Though the competition was fierce, ultimately the trophy was awarded to Hess Corporation. We want to extend a huge thank you to our friends at MSU for such a fun event that supports one of the state’s largest sectors. 💪 The third session of this year's Community Leadership Institute (CLI) was about Leadership as the group met at Minot State University's Wellness Center to learn and participate in team building activities! 🌟 First was an evaluation a DISC assessment previously taken by CLI members with DISC trainer Andy Bertsch. Everyone got to learn a little more about their leadership styles, how they adapt, and how the manage conflict. The group then participated various teamwork exercises with Paul Brekke and the MSU Wellness Center staff. This session was enlightening for all, and we all had an awesome time with the activities! Our Task Force 21 members were proud to join Minot Air Force Base leaders along with over 22,000 airmen, guardians, joint service members, partners, allies, and civilian stakeholders at the Air & Space Forces Association (AFA)’s Air, Space, & Cyber Conference in Maryland. This event provides first-class professional military development, facilitates sharing of emerging requirements and technologies, and helps fuel connections that advance the cause of air and space power. The theme for this year’s conference was Achieving Decisive Advantage in an Age of Growing Threats, and with speakers that included Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall, Chief of Staff of the Air Force Gen. David W. Allvin, Chief of Space Operations Gen. B. Chance Saltzman, U.S. Strategic Command Commander Gen. Anthony J. Cotton, Air Force Global Strike Command Commander Gen. Thomas A.
