🔍 FAQ: 💡 Q: Why am I not allowed to voice my opinion on any matter at an Annual General Meeting? ✅ A: At an Annual Meeting there is a required list of items which must be discussed on the agenda, and owners or their representatives are welcome to engage on the particular topic which is up for discussion. An AGM is generally not the platform to discuss any subject under the sun, and discussions affecting an individual owner alone are normally not in the interests of other members of the Community Scheme. Rather set up a suitable date and time where you can discuss your concerns with the Managing Agent or the Trustees. #AGM #SpecialMeeting #CommunityScheme

However, as noted by the author, securing support from stakeholders and local communities will be crucial for the successful implementation of these changes. It is imperative that HUD engages with relevant organizations and grantees to refine the details of the proposal and garner widespread support to address the significant backlog of funding and effectively mitigate lead exposure risks in homes. #HUDBudget #LeadExposure #HousingInitiatives https://lnkd.in/ea3gqv-V

Factors like community size, technical expertise, and legal obligations should be considered when deciding between self-management and hiring professional property management. The article concludes by highlighting the importance of evaluating the balance between resources and risks for successful community-led governance.
