Certified Coach Creating Thriving Teams at the Intersection of Culture, DEI, and Wellbeing | Keynote Speaker | CPCC, PCC, RYT, CPQC
Happy May 1. Let's turn our awareness inward and celebrate how awesome we are. Mental health is health. Wellness is not optional. Thriving teams should be a priority for all organizations. How are you showing up? Let's start the conversation. #mentalhealthawarenessmonth
I am celebrating today. It's May 1 and that means it is Mental Health Awareness Month. My priority is creating thriving teams so we can all show up and thrive at work. Here are Five Strategies to Thrive at Work. 1. Set Your Own Boundaries and Priorities. Your work does not give you boundaries. You are responsible for setting those yourself. And when you do, you show up better for everyone because you are able to prioritize what matters. So often, we feel out of alignment with our values because we are trying to do too much or be all the things. Identify what really matters and direct your energy there. 2. Communicate. Open communications can support vulnerability-based trust which is the foundation for thriving teams. If you are having a hard time, waiting and not talking about it will probably make it more difficult. Leaders can be a role model in facilitating a culture that fosters open communication. 3. Lead with Empathy. We all have such different paths to get to where we are and our life experiences impact how we show up and how we respond to situations. Know that we all have good days and bad days and honor the person where they are. 4. Notice Your Breath. This is an exercise you can do in just 10 seconds to shift your mindset and enjoy a pause in your day. Find a comfortable seat, roll your shoulders back, close your eyes. Inhale through your nose for a count of four, pause, exhale through your nose for a count of four, pause. Bow your head toward your heart. Blink your eyes open. Try this for a fresh perspective. 5. Let it Go. You are not your thoughts. You are not feelings. You are not your body. You are not your bank account, your job title, your family status, your degree, etc. All of those things change throughout one's life. Want to learn more about Leading with Wellbeing at Work? Our #weeklydose of work & wellness is all about listening. Attentive listening is a powerful tool for communicating and connecting. We do this on stage all the time to make sure we’re on the same page – the same skills we use on stage are applicable to your life, too. Give this a shot! In your day-to-day life, how do you know when someone has heard what you’ve said? How does it make you feel when they do (or don’t…)?

Navigating the bustling corridors of our mind can often lead us through the dense fog of stress and disquiet. But therein lies a potent, albeit underutilized, tool: sound frequency therapy. This method harnesses specific sound frequencies to induce relaxation and cognitive clarity. Leveraging my background as a Holistic Wellness Practitioner, I have seen firsthand how these precise tones can recalibrate our mental state towards equilibrium. In a world that never slows down, understanding the distinction between health and wellness becomes crucial for happiness. At Moment of Clarity Wellness, we see health as the foundation of survival, a state where your body's critical functions support your day-to-day life. Wellness, however, goes deeper, representing happiness and contentment with one's state of health. It's about finding joy in existence, not just the absence of illness. We believe that true happiness comes from balancing these aspects of health and wellness. It's not just about being free from disease or physical and mental ailments but also about feeling genuinely content and happy with your life. This balance is where #DimensionalWellness truly shines, offering a more profound sense of fulfillment and well-being. At Moment of Clarity Wellness, we emphasize the importance of understanding your health and wellness. We live in a fast-paced society, and it's essential to take a step back, reflect, and ask, "How do I feel?" This introspection is a form of #Mindfulness, allowing us to reconnect with what truly brings us joy and happiness. Happiness, in its essence, is subjective and fleeting. It's a feeling that we all chase, yet its impermanence makes it all the more precious. At Moment of Clarity Wellness, we advocate for a conscious pursuit of happiness, where the choices we make align with what brings us joy and contentment. This approach to life is at the core of our #WellnessRevolution, where we empower individuals to choose their path to happiness. Discover more about how Moment of Clarity Wellness is redefining the approach to health and wellness for individuals, families, communities, and businesses. Visit our website www.mocwellness.com for our full article on the difference between Health and Wellness. Explore our flagship product, the Moment of Clarity Wellness Journal, and join us in this journey of self-discovery and happiness by following us on social media @MOCWellness. Your wellness journey is a personal one, and we're here to guide and support you every step of the way. #ModernWellness #WorkplaceWellness - - - - #mocwellness #MomentOfClarity #MomentOfClarityWellness #Wellness #HolisticWellness #MentalHealth #MentalHealthMatters #BlackHistoryMonth #BlackWellness #BlackMentalHealth #BlackMentalHealthAwareness #BlackMentalHealthMatters
