At MyGivingCircle we have over 2,000 charities collecting donations on our platform. Our system continually tests and optimises our donation page to find the best converting elements to maximise donations for our participating charities. One element we optimise is the default (suggested) donation amount we recommend, and the minimum donation we allow. People are free to change the default amount but it provides an 'anchor' for a recommended amount. Analysing over 3,000 recent donations we can see the best performing 'ask' is $30 default (suggested) amount and a minimum donation amount of $1. Interestingly almost no-one chooses $1, but obviously people like the flexibility of being able to choose any amount. If you have a different experience with the best performing recommended and minimum donation amounts I'd love to hear from you. If you want to register your charity for free with MyGivingCircle and benefit from the donation optimisation we perform for charities around the world, we'd love you to register for free at https://lnkd.in/g9PAQtCE

🎉 Celebrating Our Commitment to CSR at mci group Just a few weeks ago, we actively participated in the mci-group pacer challenge to promote well-being and support our Corporate Social Responsibility. 🏆 Steps for Charity: Our 782 participants around mci offices aimed to make a real impact and walked over 135,000 km—three times around the globe! The office with the most steps won the chance to choose a non-profit organisation to receive a donation. 🐾 Supporting Animal Welfare: mci group Belgium won the challenge and chose “De Zonnegloed,” a wild animals sanctuary providing a permanent home for both native and non-native animals that have been neglected, abandoned, abused or confiscated and cannot return to the wild. They operate without state funding and rely on supporters' generosity to care for over 423 rescued animals from 139 species. 💚 Join us in celebrating our teams’ efforts and supporting “De Zonnegloed” in their mission. Together, we walk towards a brighter, kinder future. #mcigroup #CorporateSocialResponsibility #StepChallenge #CSR #AnimalWelfare

It seems to happen often, that some person/org is alleged / discovered to be odious, and charities wonder whether to continue receiving funds from some fdn associated with them. My view is: yes absolutely! For a legal reason: funds in a charity (ie, inside the charitable fence) have to go to charitable work (ie, work inside the charitable fence): they have to go *somewhere.* If every charity shuns the fdn, those funds will just sit in some bank account for years doing nothing and possibly being forgotten about, probably gradually depleted by asset managers' fees, and eventually become 'unclaimed assets' (or run out completely). Better to put them to use asap!

If you want to give a gift that’s Easter-bunny themed but won’t put animals at risk of harm, consider: Donating to a small animal charity! There are many groups working to protect and re-home small domestic animals like rabbits. A donation to one in someone’s honour can be a beautiful gift that keeps giving. Volunteering! Between humane societies, wildlife rehabilitators, and small-animal rescues, there’s no shortage of places needing help. Give some of your time with a loved one to help animals directly this way. Chocolates or candies! A gift of rabbit-shaped or themed (and plant-based) chocolate or candy is another fun way to enjoy the season and provide joy without putting animals at risk. If you are STILL interested in adding a rabbit to your family, please look up a local rescue who can ensure you have the best possible information to give your new family member a great and long-lasting life!

THE CHARLES LEWIS FOUNDATION Grants of between £500 and £10,000 are available to UK registered charities working in the UK in the areas of animal welfare, support for the elderly, support for young people, health and the local community. Previously known as the Lewis Trust, the Charles Lewis Foundation is a family-based grant-making charity operating out of Oxted, Surrey. The Foundation’s policy is to make grants to a wide range of charitable bodies and individuals, although the trustees have determined that its priority areas for grant support over the next few years will be: o Animal welfare. o Elderly. o Health. o Local community, and o Young people. The Foundation particularly favours smaller charities located in the UK where funding is required for a specific project and where small grants can have a big impact. It particularly supports registered charities in the UK which make good use of volunteers and have low running costs. The Foundation likes to support ongoing and new projects. The Foundation does not normally support applications from large national charities (i.e. those with an annual income in excess of £10 million or with £100+ million assets) or charities dedicated to issues deemed by the Trustees to be already well funded within the UK. During the year ended 31st March 2023, the Foundation awarded 47 grants between £500 and £10,000.00 across the following categories: o Elderly. o Health. o Local community. o Young People, and o Other (Ukraine). The Foundation does not have a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website. Applications should be made in the first instance to the Charles Lewis Foundation by email to office@tclf.org.uk. Grants are considered by the Trustees at their meetings. The Foundation aims to write to all applicants informing them of the outcome of their application for funding within three months of the date of the application. Although they frequently face financial difficulties, animal rescue organizations are vital to the preservation of human life. Here are a few original and effective methods for raising money: 1. Campaigns for crowdsourcing: Community support can be mobilized through websites such as Kickstarter or GoFundMe. 2. Social Media Challenges: Make a pet-related version of the "Ice Bucket Challenge," which has gone viral. 3. Conduct Online Events: Organize online pet shows, webinars, or auctions. Work together with companies to secure sponsorships or match funding through corporate partnerships. 5. Merchandise Sales: Market branded goods like mugs, T-shirts, and accessories for pets. 6. Pet Photo Contests: Ask participants to pay an entry fee in order to display their animals. 7. Charity Walks and Runs: Plan virtual or local walks or runs where participants seek sponsorships to raise money. 8. Grant Applications: Submit grant requests to foundations that support animal welfare. 9. Grant Campaigns: Collect donations by setting up booths at neighborhood events or through social media. 10. Making Programs Available Every Month: Aim to get backers to pledge consistent, monthly contributions. 11. Benefit Dinners: Organize unique dinners where the proceeds are donated to the rescue. 12. Adoption Fees: To encourage larger donations, consider implementing an adoption fee that is "pay what you can." 13. Pet Services: Raise money for the organization by providing pet sitting, grooming, and training services. 14. Allow Donors to Sponsor Particular Animals: Provide a Pet Sponsorship Program. 15. Educative Workshops: Provide paid seminars on training or pet maintenance. Programs for Recycling: Gather recyclables and trade them in for cash. 17. Encourage supporters to bring things for a garage sale by holding community events. 18. Membership Plans: Provide members with access to premium content or other advantages. 19. Auctions: Organize live or virtual sales featuring donated goods or experiences. 20. Matching Gifts: Assist businesses that match contributions made by their staff members. You can help animals in need by contributing any amount of money. You can guarantee the survival of your animal rescue group by utilizing these creative fundraising suggestions. #AnimalRescue #Fundraising #NonProfit #Crowdfunding #VirtualEvents #PetLovers #Charity #DonationDrive #CorporatePartnerships #Merchandise #PetAdoption #AnimalWelfare #SupportLocal #CommunityEvents #PetServices #SponsorAPet #BenefitDinners #EducationWorkshops #RecyclingForGood #MatchingGifts #MakeADifference #vervetico By engaging with your community and thinking creatively, you can find sustainable ways to support your animal rescue efforts. Surrendering pets is never easy, here at Saving Strays, we understand that animals become part of the family! That's why we have been busy this month, supporting #owners and #fosterers to rehome 2x beautiful animals: Nora (English bulldog) and Luna (French bulldog) and we couldn't be prouder. They are both settling in very well and receiving additional support in the form of training to help their transition. We fully appreciate the community, fosterers, and previous owners who have supported our charity to make this possible 💙 We wanted to share this news with you to show the impact a caring community can have, one of these dogs was originally scheduled to be PTS before SSARs support, and it can take just one person to make a big difference and potentially save an animal's life. If you would like to make a difference, then we are looking for support in the form of #partnerships with organisations that support our mission or can provide donations regularly to support the animals that are in our long-term foster care. We would also love the opportunity to discuss sponsorships if anyone or any organisation would like to discuss then please just drop us a message! As a charity with volunteers, we appreciate any support that our amazing community can provide and love building relationships with businesses/people who like us do not want to put a healthy animal down. Below is a picture of both Nora and Luna settling into their new lives. We hope this brightens your weekend! #SSAR #animalrescue #weneedyou #charity #donationsneeded #makeadifference
