Another great event this week organised by the #LondonQualitativeCommunity (LQC) on how to present and visualise qualitative data! Here are my main key takeaways from each presentation. 1️⃣ Jen Rhymer on presenting multi-case research: Start with a phenomenon-centric introduction, justify its significance, and focus on core findings. Use key quotes to highlight patterns and differences, and be prepared to add more detail in response to questions. 2️⃣ Ruben van Werven on archival research: Think about the audience and prepare your context slides accordingly. Focus on presenting the final analysis, not the steps in the middle. 3️⃣ Kevin Corley on interview data: Use colour to bring quotes in and out of focus. Maintain consistency in the slide design. Show your "big picture" model first and then break it down into smaller components that you explain step by step. 4️⃣ Joelle Evans on ethnographic research: Use the "Diamond approach" to storytelling. Build vignettes with visual aids that provide context to your findings. I absolutely loved the breadth of examples and techniques all four of them offered.
