Because I am dark-skinned, a lecturer once told me when I entered the class, "As you entered, everywhere turned dark." I didn't feel offended; in fact, that's the best compliment you can give me because I am at peace with who I am. Living life worrying about what people will say will mess you up, and life is too short for that. "Oh, I am too short," "Oh, I don't have money," "Oh, I don't belong here..." The people who truly make a difference in this world are those who understand the subtle art of not giving a f_ _k. In this episode of DipChat, discover how to embrace the act of not giving a f_ _k in a society where everyone wants to be "the same." Learn about the subtle art of rejecting society's standards of "good" from a fitness professional.

This fantastic lesson/activity for secondary students targets many skill areas: comparing/contrasting the lives of students in the city vs suburbs, inferencing, critical thinking, and perspective-taking (to name a few!). I have been doing this with my middle and high-schoolers this week and it has sparked great discussions! We also discussed these questions: • How do you find commonality with others? • How would you make a friend who grew up in a different environment?
