Is AI Really Ready to Replace HR? A manager’s experiment to test his company’s recruitment system resulted in the termination of the entire HR team. Why? His CV was auto-rejected by the system meant to streamline hiring. But is this fair? The issue stemmed from a simple configuration error: the ATS was searching for outdated skills (AngularJS) instead of modern ones (Angular). This went unnoticed for months, with HR trusting the technology instead of manually reviewing resumes. Is it fair to blame HR? Should automated systems hold such power over hiring? This raises the question: can technology truly replace human judgment? The HR team relied too much on AI, which led to no qualified hires, no oversight, and ultimately, no jobs for the HR staff. Shouldn't resumes, crafted with effort, receive more thoughtful attention? Are we risking qualified talent for efficiency?
