We have to put a stop to this, it’s complete madness! $8 a day! That’s assuming you don’t go to a different facility in the same day. Then you’ll get smoked again. #medicaldevices #medicaldevice #meddevice #medtech #robotics #roboticsurgery #kneereplacement #hipreplacement
Are you kidding me 🤦🏼♂️
While I have mixed thoughts on this practice, our facility is part of a pilot program in our organization and we will be going to Repscrubs next week. As a former circulator and now OR Nurse Manager, there are many reps that wear scrubs into the facility and do not change their scrubs before going into the OR. It is impossible to “police” this practice and with the penalties imposed for SSIs, this is an infection risk. I also know that we have many amazing vendors who are conscientious and change into our hospital scrubs. I am not looking forward to rolling this out because I greatly appreciate our vendors and the knowledge and help they bring into our department.
What do you propose?
Meanwhile anesthesia is rocking every different type of Patagonia and no one bats an eye. **disclaimer: I’m just jealous
Besides the $8 per day, plus $100 yearly subscription, don’t forget the $400 credentialing fees. Per platform. Per rep. As a national director, I have $3000 per year to pay for the opportunity to do business that isn’t guaranteed, even after the 6-12 months of purchase agreement negotiations.
The ironic part of this picture: If you "shake" the daylights out of it" to get scrubs to drop, you'll probably be kicked out and be banned by the facility 😂 😂 😂
Let's all be honest, sit in hospital lobby and watch all the employees walking in wearing scrubs from "outside" of facility. Yup, reps are the cause of infection. Come on, you can't even make this stuff up. The last thing I want to wear is "hospital scrubs to and from each facility.
Don’t get me started on the fact that you need around 3 different credentialing memberships at about $400 a year per rep. The fact that there is more than one credentialing system is such a scam.
This is funny. For those in the device industry, there is an irony here that I hope is not lost.
Aaah but think of how many Rep-Acquired Infections you've prevented Mitch Stevenson 🤖! Sleep the deep sleep of the Patient Safety Champ. Or am I missing something?

2moTreating reps this way is insulting, disrespectful, and signals a hospital administration that is really desperate to squeeze every dime out of every nook and cranny they can find. It always makes me concerned that the old bottom line is really being placed above all else. Finances are critically important of course but, I’ve always felt like if you take care of patients, the people who take care of the patients, and put forth serious quality… those bottom lines should improve enough on their own to equal or exceed this trivial gain. This is a practice that should be pushed back against. The ill will being generated here far exceeds the $8 per person one is getting off the backs of support teams.
