Today’s Junior Academy session with the 8th graders marked the inception of a transformative journey. We aimed to instill an understanding of the profound impact of young Black leadership. Each student was tasked with delivering a one-minute impromptu speech on why demonstrating leadership is vital in today’s society, placing emphasis on their community.
