The iPhone 16 just hit stores today and preorder sales are down 13% from last year. After checking out the launch notes, I can’t help but wonder who’s this upgrade really for? With key AI features delayed there doesn't seem to be a compelling reason to rush out and buy one. It feels like phones have hit a point of diminishing returns. Every year, we see minor updates that don’t really change how we use them yet they still generate massive hype. Are you upgrading to the iPhone 16 or are you sticking with what you’ve got?

🍏 Is the iPhone 16 Pro selling well? 📱 ➡️ Trying to buy an iPhone 16 Pro (or Pro Max) at the moment is rather tricky - following launch day, some stock is coming in to Apple stores it seems, but then selling out rapidly - the Apple App tells me that no iPhone 16 Pros or Pro Max devices are available in 12 nearby stores (save for a lonely 128GB variant in 1 store)…. ➡️ Looking on Amazon UK, there are *some* Pro and Pro Max devices available, but storage capacities and colourways are limited (256GB & 512GB only & no black colourway) as it stands at the moment ➡️ But all this tells us is that available stocks have sold / are selling out - not what volume of devices have sold ➡️ In reality, we’re not really going to know anything meaningful about how well Apple’s premium phone has sold until their next quarterly results - just that currently demand is outstripping supply… ➡️ Are you trying to buy an iPhone 16 Pro or Pro Max at the moment, and if so, how have you found availability? CBUS 335 Assignment #2 The iPhone 15 was the most recent device that Apple released. Although I believe Apple's new iPhone 15 offers some significant improvements, I can't help but wonder if these features actually outweigh the price hike. My expectations from prior generations were high, so even if the speedier chip and better camera are welcome additions, they seem like small improvements. Since USB-C is compatible with my other gadgets and makes charging more convenient, I personally like the switch. But the style is still pretty much the same, and I was hoping for something more eye-catching to give my new buy a more modern vibe.
