Using outdated terms like "colored" is harmful and racist. We’re all different shades and tones, but we’re all human. I’m also curious about those ethnicity dropdowns on job applications. Asking about someone’s continent is one thing, but categorizing people by skin color? That's wrong. It's time to move beyond labels and stereotypes. Let's celebrate our diversity without division. #endracism #equality #diversityandinclusion

Someone, somewhere with way better skills, talents, and who works way harder than you has had zero success in life. Conversely, someone, somewhere with way less skills, talents, and who works way lesser than you has seen 10x more success in life. That's the asymmetry of privilege. It's crucial to understand it, but it's not something to make peace with. The good news is that it can be broken. Stay tuned for more on this soon. #asymmetryofprivilege #success #equality

Such a brilliant visual. It's self-explanatory! "Equality is everyone receiving a pair of shoes and Equity is everyone getting a pair of shoes that fits". Don't you just love this simple analogy? #Equality and #Diversity are great in theory, but #Equity, #Acceptance, and #Belonging are what should be our goals. And this also includes the understanding some people don't need or want "shoes" to begin with. Agree? Repost to share this with others ♻️ Do remember to add ALT Text if sharing, otherwise this graphic about inclusion isn't inclsuive or accessible. #accessibility #equality #equity #diversityandinclusion #acceptance #belonging #itmatters #leadershipimpact

Can you confidently explain the difference between "equity" and "equality"? 🤔 If you find yourself second guessing, this week’s Wordy Wednesday is for you. The words “equity” and “equality” are sometimes found in the same context as one another, owing to the similarities in their definitions. On closer inspection, however, these two words have a clear distinction when it comes to concepts of fairness and justice. Allow us to illustrate. If we think about “equity” and “equality” in terms of the distribution of a pair of shoes, equality means that each person gets the same pair, regardless of their needs or size. In other words, equality focuses on uniformity and sameness, ensuring that everyone and everything is regarded as equal – irrespective of any differences. Equity, on the other hand, takes differences into account and seeks fairness and justice in light of these. If we consider the shoe example again, equity means providing each person with shoes that fit their specific needs – some might need larger or smaller sizes, while others might require different types of support. Equity looks at individual differences and aims to level the playing field by addressing those unique needs. So, while “equality” is about treating everyone the same, “equity” is giving each individual what they need to achieve the same standing, opportunities or outcomes. #WordyWednesday

❌Equality isn't when you have a strong perspective, ✔️it's about having the wisdom to see the beauty in diverse perspectives. ❌Its not about forcing your opinion on other people, ✔️it's about understanding that everyone has different beliefs based on their life experiences. ❌It's not about having the loudest voice, ✔️it's about fostering an environment where every voice is not just heard but celebrated. ❌It's not a competition of being right, ✔️it's about understanding where others are coming from. Understanding doesn’t happen with a one-size-fits-all mindset. Step into someone else's shoes, understand where others are coming from. Start embracing equality in your day-to-day interactions. Small actions create big waves and every effort makes this world a better place. Choose to be wise - Wisdom isn't about having all the answers, it's about having the humility to learn from each other. Make people seen, heard and understood. Equality needs to start at an individual level first. P.S. - Is equality one of your core values? #equality #kindnessmatters #humility #wisdom #perspectives #ashishjaniani #ashishjanianithetruthchannel #salesdiaries #motivationaldiaries

Diversity shouldn't be reduced to numbers, optics, or surface-level BS. If your diversity initiatives are driven by the desire to appear good on paper or to appease the masses, it's time to reassess. Real progress toward diversity requires champions, introspection, and commitment. #DiversityandInclusion #diversityequityinclusion #diversityequityandinclusion #DEI #InclusiveLeadership #Equality #Equity #Belonging #InclusiveCulture
