It’s time to announce the winners of the first Mitie Landscapes Allotment Challenge! First up, Congratulations to Nick and Sharon McCaffrey who have won the ‘Old Hands’ category. Nick is a Strategic Account Manager at Mitie and started his allotment 3 years ago with wife Sharon. They have taken inspiration from Tom and Barbara from The Good Life and are making the most of their plot! The judging panel were impressed by the range and quality of the produce and the relatively short time in which the plot has been transformed. They particularly liked the sustainable and wildlife-friendly features, including dead and decaying wood, composting of plant material, and a wildlife pond made using a re-purposed bath. Nick and Sharon will be receiving £250 worth of gardening equipment to help with the allotment effort. Stay tuned for the winner of the 'newbies' category.
