Tomorrow all ~1000 incoming first-year @MIT undergrads will get their minds blown by the two-hour #EnROADS simulation workshop, led by Prof. John Sterman. “Welcome to MIT! We're going to challenge you to solve the climate crisis." Next: We're dreaming of engaging more professors at universities in the fast-emissions-growth middle-income world and then helping them work with their top decision-makers -- think China, India, Indonesia, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil and on. Already thousands of these profs use #EnROADS in their classroom. We know it works. Why are we doing it? Because we calculated in #CROADS that 80% of the necessary avoided GHG emissions will happen outside the US and EU. Less coal, oil, and gas means better health for all. Plus it's just fair and equitable -- these countries didn't cause the problem but are disproportionately affected by it. Stay tuned! We're creating a plan this fall.
