When it comes to selling fish, freshness is paramount. Proper storage ensures that your fish stays fresh, maintaining its quality and maximizing your profit. There are 5 ways to store your fish properly to keep it fresh, such as: 1. Temperature Control: Keep your fish cold. The ideal temperature for storing most seafood is between 32°F to 38°F (0°C to 3°C). This slows down bacterial growth and preserves freshness. 2. Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness. Ensure that the storage area is clean and free from contaminants to prevent spoilage. 3. Proper Packaging: Use airtight packaging to prevent exposure to air, which can cause fish to spoil faster. 4. Storage Duration: Store fish for the shortest time possible. Fresh fish should ideally be sold within a few days of being caught to ensure optimal freshness. 5. Separation: Store different types of fish separately to prevent cross-contamination and maintain the quality of each variety. In the competitive seafood market, delivering fresh, high-quality fish is crucial for success and maximizing profits. SP Logistic Hub Pluit provides advanced cold storage solutions with precise temperature control to keep your fish in optimal condition. How best to preserve your fresh meat Happy sallah to all our Muslim brothers and sisters. I trust we are all enjoying the holidays. It’s the festive period, and for sure, I know meat will be surplus. Even if you didn’t kill any animals, for sure you’ll still receive portions from those that were killed. So how then do you preserve this overflow to maintain freshness until you’ll consume it? There are many traditional and conventional methods of meat preservation, ranging from curing and smoking, frying, freezing, and drying. But which of these methods has been proven to be the most safe, efficient, and retain the freshness of the meat? Refrigeration: For short-term preservation (a few days to a week), storing meat in the refrigerator at temperatures below 40°F (4°C) helps maintain freshness. Use airtight containers or wrap meat tightly in plastic wrap or foil to prevent exposure to air and moisture. Freezing: For long-term preservation (several months), freezing meat at 0°F (-18°C) or below is effective. Properly wrap meat in freezer paper, vacuum-sealed bags, or heavy-duty aluminium foil to prevent freezer burn and exposure to air. Just be sure of what you intend to do with your meat portion so that you’ll get all you desire from it when you want to enjoy it. Seeing my content for the fit time? I’m Bukunmi Makanjuola. Every food product needs to be stored in a different cold store for food security, and similarly, every city needs central city storage from which food products are delivered to meet the demands in a city. City storage facilities are like the fridges of the entire city where all types of food products, such as fruit, vegetable, cheese, ice cream, meat, fish and chicken can be stored. These food stores provide constant availability of hygienic and affordable food. Therefore, they are the most important element of food security. Also, they are important income channel for central administrations and large enterprises. Cantek’s city storage systems which are delivered as turnkey cold storage projects including construction works have played a significant role in the development of the regions and have brought important gains. #foodcenter #foodstorage #coldstorage #coldroom #foodsecurity #cantekgroup

The veneer of "fresh" at the #grocery store has been exposed as nothing more than a brittle multi-modal transportation network. This system is not good for farmers, the environment, or people. Almost half of our basic goods, including fresh produce, come through ports that are now essentially closed, and Americans are seeing prices increase and quality decline. It's never been more essential to take control and build the local food system we need. Moving the #farm, NOT the #food, ensures you get what is good directly from the source. https://lnkd.in/eieyeT7b
