Bacteria are your friends, humans! Let's work on getting to know them better 🦠 Let's focus on Levilactobacillus brevis, a member of a lactobacilli family, known as the lactic acid bacteria. You can say this bacterium works double-time as it occurs naturally in the human body AND in fermented foods! L. Brevis has earned the stripes as a beneficial microbe - ingestion of L. Brevis has been shown to improve human immune function, and it has been patented several times. It has an anti-inflammatory function and inhibits infection and invasion by other bacteria 🛡️💪 #lactobacilli #digestion #gutflora

ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE. I'm sure it's something new to you (or maybe not). AMR is a situation whereby pathogenic organisms found in the body are "BECOMING RESISTANT" to the antibiotics they were formerly susceptible to. Bacteria resistance to antibiotics is due to many factor in that over time, the bacteria redefines itself to stay alive especially in modification of thier cell wall. Some can be as a reason of unexplainable mutation occurring spontaneously. AMR has become a major challenge to the world at large, but here are the basic tips you can hold on to be safe. ● Practice proper hygiene as this help to negate the entry of pathogens in the first place. ● Take in edible food : If homemade, prepare in a clean environment with running water. If prepared already, check the expiry date and check out if it's an authorised food. (basically for quality control) ●Take in SAFE fruits that acts additives to help strengthen your immune system. ● Take out time to exercise and rest. ●Use drugs as prescribed by physicoans. Use it with the time allocated. Daily routine of these tips can go along way in promoting one's health. Drugs are good but also with its consequences as they might also kill beneficial organisms in the body that aid in digestion and strengthening of immune system. #AMR #PATHOGENICITY

In our world of bacteria and fungi, antibiotics serve as defenders against harmful germs. Yet, resistance is a global challenge. Striking a balance is crucial; antibiotics don't differentiate between good and bad. Using antibiotics carefully is essential to reduce the risk of antimicrobial and antibiotic resistance. MiaBond Drink: Solubility gives toxin-inactivation a flexibility. The needed Flexibility in terms of product application and mycotoxin contamination fluctuation in feed, motivated us to study, design and manufacture the world's first water-soluble toxin inactivator; MiaBond Drink. Miavit achieves a breakthrough in the field of mycotoxin deactivation. MiaBond Drink is flexible in use and 100% water-soluble. We know how serious could be the damage caused by different mycotoxins when consumed by feed. By MiaBond Drink application, a combination of toxin inactivation, inflammation reduction, gastro intestinal tract (GIT) and immune system enhancer will give the best approach to boost the animal performance specially in early ages and stress conditions. Boost your animal by MiaBond Drink! ▶️ https://lnkd.in/eVwSQKnh #MIAVIT #MiaBond #drink

Dust mites are not our only unwelcome guests. Dust mites infest our mattresses, causing allergies and triggering asthma. But they don’t bite us. Bed bugs do – I speak from experience – and live on our blood. Like dust mites, bed bugs are difficult to get rid of. Chemicals can be used, but the same issues of toxicity make this less than ideal. It is said that bedbugs were almost eliminated, until many of the more worrying insecticides, such as DDT, were banned. In fact, by the time DDT was banned, resistance to it was already widespread among bed bugs. And now, they are back. A recent article of the UK’s BBC news said “Bedbug panic sweeps Paris as infestations soar”. This is likely to be just the usual late summer peak, driven by people returning home from their travels, bringing bed bugs with them. But every year that peak has been getting higher. There are even reports of bed bugs biting people on trains and in cinemas. So what can be done? If we can’t use chemicals. What is the alternative? Biological control, perhaps? There is a natural predator of bed bugs, falling numbers of which may be linked to the increase. But using these is unlikely to be popular. Cockroaches. There are other options. One particular fungal insecticide is know to target bed bugs. But is it the best and most effective? That’s what Aeris will be looking into, next. Target #2 is bed bugs. And target #3? Cockroaches, watch your backs … #bed bugs #bedbugs #cockroaches #biological control #insecticides #DDT #dustmites #housedustmites #biological control #aeris #aerisbiotech #aerisbiotechnologies

Streptococcus suis bacteria cause infections in pigs globally, affecting their health and wellbeing, driving antibiotics usage and, in many countries, the food safety of meat products 🐷 Infections caused by the bacteria account for up to 50% of total antibiotic prescribing in pigs. A FRSN funded project is working on developing a molecular test to identify the strains of Streptococcus suis bacteria that cause disease. The team at the University of Cambridge and Wageningen University & Research are working on a test that could help to reduce disease in pigs caused by the bacteria and reduce antibiotics usage. ➡️ https://buff.ly/3VKOxrI #FoodSafety #UKFSRN #UKFoodSafetyResearchNetwork #Bacteria #PigHealth

As mycotoxins are unfortunately commonly found, there are many ways to decrease or nullify their impact. These methods include reducing the concentration of mycotoxins in the feed, strengthening the gut barrier, modulating immune response, and enhancing antioxidant status. Escent® S is a mycotoxin solution that binds mycotoxins, inhibits mould, reduces oxidative stress, and supports the animal's organs.
