The way all States should issue cannabis licenses : The winning applicants for Rhode Island’s next two-dozen cannabis retail licenses could be selected through a lottery – but only after they are screened based on qualifications such as “ability and readiness for licensure” – under a proposal approved by the Rhode Island Cannabis Control Commission.

Cannabis operators hear "no" more often than not when working with regulators. How many of you are surprised, or even shocked, when you hear "yes?" Interacting with regulators sometimes feels like dealing with Sam Rothstein from Casino. Sometimes they are content to let operators make pragmatic and commerically reasonable decisions when it comes to operating their business. Other times, they will demand that every muffin have the exact same amount of blueberries. Anyone operating in the cannabis industry knows this all too well. And while we may not always like the answer we get, just remember what Sam Rothstein said, "The eye in the sky is watching us all." #cannabisoperators #businessowners #cannabisbusiness #regulators

VAPE GATE - It's ruining the legitimacy of the legal cannabis market by shining a light on a broken system. We're a retailer - how do we fix it? My questions: 1. How often are testing labs in CA audited by the DCC? 2. Which State is testing cannabis the right way?

105 Years ago today, the USA banned alcohol. The 18th Amendment outlawed the sale of alcohol in the United States. It was ratified on January 16, 1919 and went into effect January 16, 1920. 4,815 Days go by. No “Legal” Alcohol sales. On March 23, 1933, President Franklin Roosevelt signs into law legislation permitting the sale of 3.2% alcohol beer. Low dose alcohol products make a resurgence. On December 5, 1933, the 21st Amendment repealed the 18th Amendment. 🚨 History lesson? 🤓 Maybe.. but to me history repeats itself… Can this be used to prepare for 2024 in the Cannabis industry? 🤔 Will low dose #hemp products help end the Federal’s position on cannabis? Will we see a rescheduling anytime soon? Only time will tell, but definitely interesting to think about as we all enjoy this wonder High&Dry January 🫧🍃 #alcohol #cannabis #prohibitionproblems

I was against limited cannabis markets until we saw the west coast spiral out of control. The amount of wasted capital and even more so the amount of people negatively impacted is still disheartening. While I believe everyone should have the opportunity to chase their dreams in cannabis and that the markets should be free the inability states have displayed in establishing balance between supply and demand isn’t good for anyone. I’d argue not even for the consumer when you see shortcuts being taken out of desperation. Until operators can move product across state lines I believe limiting capacity is in the best interest for all stakeholders. What’s your perspective on limited markets vs free markets in cannabis? What do you think is the right path and why?

LMAO the most accurate depiction of the cannabis industry.
What confuses me most about the cannabis industry so far is that the people who don’t know anything about cannabis get the higher positions and the people who actually do just get pizza parties
