HR Leader | SHRM EPAC Member | TN SHRM Council Member

Yesterday, I got the opportunity to moderate a Young Professional panel. Our conversation was focused on the the transition into the workplace, finding community, and fighting imposter syndrome. Here are some of my top takeaways from what these amazing panelist shared: 1) The transition from college to young professional is challenging, but saying yes to new opportunities gives you exposure and new connections. 2) You were hired by capable people who thought you were capable to do the job. Trust yourself! 3) When you have question, have a potential answer when you go to your leaders. This will help develop your problem solving skills and show your leadership that you are invested. Great job to everyone who participated! Ciera Proctor, Rachel Klein Vagnier, CPA, Lauren Price, and Estrela Shear. Thank you LBMC for investing in resources like the Woman's Initiative Network!

Today I had the incredible opportunity to speak on a panel hosted by the LBMC Women's Initiative Network (WIN) with some amazing peers! We discussed tips on how to combat imposter syndrome, how to successfully integrate into the workplace post-grad, and provided insights on how peers and leaders can best support Young Professionals. I am proud work at a place like LBMC that has Business Resource Groups like WIN! Lauren Price, Estrela Shear, Rachel Klein Vagnier, CPA, Mary Jo Swearingen, SHRM-CP, Lawrence Alexander, CPA
