Versatile & C-suite Executive Assistant | Driving Efficiency in Mining, Oil & Gas, Shipping, Agri-processing, import and export | Contract Bidding Specialist | Multifaceted entrepreneur | Statistician | AI Enthusiast.
Many people think that only certain jobs are important or valuable. They think that jobs like doctors, lawyers, and bankers are the only ones that matter But this is not true. 💫 All Jobs Are Important Every job is important in its own way. Teachers teach us things, artists make beautiful things, and construction workers build our homes and roads. Even jobs in oil and gas, like drilling and refining, help keep our cars running and our homes warm. 💫 Find a Job You Love Instead of trying to get a "prestigious" job, find a job that makes you happy and uses your skills. If you love your job, you'll be good at it and make a difference. Whether you're a contractor, a software engineer, or a pipeline worker etc, your job is valuable and important. 💫 Don't Worry About What Others Think Don't worry about what others think about your job. What matters is that you're proud of what you do and that it makes you happy. Let's celebrate all jobs and the people who do them! #AllJobsMatter #EveryJobIsImportant

Resume, Cover Letter & LinkedIn Specialist ◆ Top 100 Women in the Energy Transition ◆ Top 15 LinkedIn Experts in Houston ➤ I help senior and executive-level Oil, Gas & Energy professionals optimize profiles and level up!
It looks like Oil & Gas hiring is starting to pick up as we shift from summer to early fall because TWO more of my O&G clients have landed new jobs! ► My first client holds 12+ years with Marathon in roles covering various aspects of engineering, program management, and business strategy. Her ability to see the 'big picture' and develop programs driven by short, mid, and long-term strategy were a significant reason why she was recruited to a director-level program management role with a mid-level E&P! Her new role is a significant step up from her previous role: a 22% bump in salary and increased benefits like remote work options. She began receiving interview requests only 1 WEEK after having her resume, LinkedIn, and cover letter rebuilt. I also ensured that her LinkedIn profile was tailored to a director-level program management role so the algorithm made her come up higher in recruiters' searches. She received two job offers only 3 WEEKS after having her materials rebuilt and accepted her ideal role last Thursday. ► My second client leveraged extensive experience across Permian, Bakken, and Powder River areas to land his new production-focused role. His expertise is in mature field optimization, and he holds 14+ years in updating production facilities, evaluating conventional / unconventional assets, and all aspects of artificial lift. He landed a senior-level production management position that focuses more heavily on A&D work, which is exactly what he was looking for. Less facilities, more A&D! 😄 After I rebuilt his resume and LinkedIn, he received 3 interviews in 3 weeks - two with E&P companies and one with a service company. In fact, he sent me a message only 4 days after receiving his new materials that he'd received an invitation to interview for an ideal role. This interview resulted in his new job! Like my first client, this new job means a boost in salary and increased benefits. Hope your week is starting off well, O&G friends! #oilgas #oilandgas #oilandgasindustry #engineering #hiringandpromotion #jobseekers

In the Oil & Gas Industry reality can smack you in the face, but someone saved me from pain. At 25, as a Facilities Engineer, I was eager to get into the field with operations & maintenance whenever I could. They showed me what they did on a daily basis. They showed me the simple fixes they’d figured out. They taught me the way things ‘really’ work. It was an education! I LOVED these “dirt-road ride-alongs”. On one of those trips, the guys planned to change out the coalescing filter elements at a compressor station. I told them I wanted to do it, and they were glad to let me. But, I ended up getting myself into trouble. These filter elements are big. Like the ones in your a/c at home, but taller & longer. I thought the task was going to be fairly easy: Use a long stick to turn a giant wheel, access the filter, unscrew the cap, replace the element. No problem. But… As I was opening it, someone shouted, "Make sure it doesn't hit you in the face!" Honestly, I had not considered that possibility. The last thing in my mind was that an engineer would design it so it could smack me in the face. With the fear of face-smacking in my mind, everything seemed harder. After a few minutes, I asked for help. The guys got it loose. I pulled the old filter out. Put the new one in. Locked it in. Closed the door. Job done. But, not forgotten. When I’m engineering a solution, I remember this day. No one should have to worry about face-smacking filters. If you’re worried about working around a bad design, you aren’t focused on the job you’re supposed to be doing. I design for real people doing real work. I protect them at all costs. Like they protect me. Has reality ever smacked you in the face at work? 😅

First, I want to say Happy Easter to everyone and hope you all enjoy your four-day break. The last few weeks have been great. In Brisbane, an environmental Graduate engineer secured a full-time job. In Perth, an electrical and instrumentation engineer also got a full-time job in mining In Melbourne graduate Civil engineer secured work as well. Plus, we have two new students who will have interviews soon for upcoming projects, which is exciting. It's important to share that for the environmental engineer, we focused on improving her understanding of what her job would involve in the workplace, this helped boost her confidence significantly and similarly for the E&I Engineer who is moving into Mining Transition careers requires work, marrying past experience to the new sector, once you understand the fundamentals of the new sector it allows you to develop confidence it can be achieved. Changing sectors can be tough because it's hard to know what to expect in a new field. However, with a good plan, this transition can be smooth. What's crucial to understand is that whether it's for an interview or just discussing future projects, you need to show strong knowledge about your field in a practical way. Making a good impression means knowing what's expected of you. Once you manage that, you're likely to do much better in your career than before. Follow the link below for more information. If you want to secure full-time work, just remember: A + B + C. Looking forward to hearing from you :) A. Connect with me on LinkedIn. B.
