Timebanking builds a bigger community - something transition-age youth seem to find useful from what I have heard from some of them.
The purpose of YTB is to build strengths and social connections for transition-age youth. YTB increases social, digital, and educational inclusion along with confidence and courage of youth participants. We are working to show this impact with simple, periodic check-in assessments. Youth receive coaching on resource and vision development and select the activities they want to do to improve life where they live.
Youth complete service activities and receive training, support, resources, and leadership opportunities. YTB incorporates co-production and experiential learning via doing with and for others. YTB is Giving and Receiving for Connected Community and recognizes that Youth ARE: Assets-Resources-Energy to Y-T-Be The Change.
Y-T-B-The Change is on fire - Bonfire that is, https://lnkd.in/ewkrF2Em
From June through September 2024 YTB is joining with youth-adult partners in four African countries along with friends across the USA to apply the PhotoVoice method to raise the voices of people who want to "be the change" for improved living conditions in their area. YTB PhotoVoice participants will be wearing our YTB shirts to help create a sense of belonging to something bigger than ourselves as we support each other in Giving and Receiving for Connected Community. Through YTB PhotoVoice we will explore the strengths and challenges in our communities. We will create exhibits and videos to amplify the voices of those not often heard to advocate for a better world that includes everyone. When you buy some of the YTB apparel items you help the helpers help others to have their voices heard.
