Embracing Challenges: Lessons from My First Event Anchoring Experience. Greetings, LinkedIn community! 🌟 I recently had the privilege of anchoring the installation ceremony for the Nagpur Rotary Club. It was an honor to guide and engage the audience, yet between the excitement, I encountered a challenge that put my composure and adaptability to the test. During the ceremony, unforeseen additions to the guest list resulted in a situation where I lacked the names of some esteemed members. This unexpected turn caused confusion and put pressure on the flow of the event. However, challenges often serve as platforms for growth. This experience taught me invaluable lessons: 1. Adaptability and Quick Thinking : I quickly adjusted my approach to ensure a seamless experience despite the unforeseen circumstances. 2. Composure under Pressure: Maintaining calm amidst chaos became crucial, and it enhanced my ability to handle unexpected situations. 3. Preparedness and Flexibility: I gained an understanding and the importance of meticulous preparation while also recognizing the importance of staying flexible in live events. This opportunity permitted me to delve deeper into the intricacies of event management, strengthening my commitment to delivering excellence in such endeavors. I strongly believe that embracing challenges is essential for personal and professional development. This experience has further fueled my passion for creating engaging and flawless event experiences. Have you run across similar challenges in your professional journey? Your stories and insights are always valuable. Warm regards, Poornima Gahalod✨ #growth #opportunities #newbeginningsahead #newyearnewgoals

🌟 Exploring the Crown District of Karnataka: Bidar! 🌟 After a long break, we’re back on our journey through the districts of Karnataka. Today, let’s dive into the rich history and vibrant culture of Bidar, often referred to as the crown district of Karnataka! 🔍 Did You Know? Bidar's history stretches back to the Mahabharata era. Over centuries, it has been a center of knowledge and philosophy, thriving under various empires from the Mauryas and Shatavahanas to the Chalukyas, Kalachuris, Bahmanis, and finally the Nizams of Hyderabad. 🏰 Top 3 Must-Do Activities in Bidar: 1. Visit Basavakalyan: A short drive from Bidar, Basavakalyan is historically significant and home to several temples and a fort. It’s associated with the 12th-century social reformer Basavanna. 2. Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib: Legend has it that Guru Nanak, the first Sikh Guru, created a sweet water stream here during his visit. This Gurudwara complex is a major Sikh pilgrimage site and a serene retreat. 3. Bidar Fort Complex: Explore the majestic Bahmani Sultanate fort on the city's outskirts. Curious fact: Only the soil from this fort can be used for the unique Bidriware! 🍴 Must-Try Food in Bidar: - Puffed Rice Soosalu: A delightful dish made from wetted puffed rice, best enjoyed with Long Chilli Fritters (Bhajji) and a hot cup of tea! ✨ Personal Reflection: I lived in Bidar for nearly two years, over two decades ago, and it was an unforgettable experience! However, it’s bittersweet to see that today the city hasn’t progressed as much as other regions in Karnataka. ✈️ Bidar's Aerobatic Pride: Bidar is also home to the Indian Air Force's Advanced Jet Training establishment and is the base for the renowned aerobatic team. Do you know the name of this team? Drop your answers in the comments! #Karnataka #Travel #History #Culture #Exploration #Foodie #IndianHeritage #LinkedInLearning #DiscoverIndia
