🎯 Ace Your Nursing Interview with SMART Goals! 🎯 When preparing for your next nursing interview, show how you set and achieve goals using the SMART method—Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound. This framework highlights your ability to improve patient care and drive results. For example, instead of saying, "I improved patient care," say, "I reduced patient wait times by 15% over three months by implementing a new triage process in the ER." This not only shows your goal-setting skills but demonstrates measurable impact! If you're ready to land your next nursing role, build your profile today on The RN Network Job Board: https://lnkd.in/gn4pXhnV. 💉💼 #NurseLife #SMARTGoals #InterviewPrep #CareerGrowth #NursingJobs #TheRNNetwork

A revolution is coming to America, the NURSING REVOLUTION! Where nurses don't just make our voices heard but start stepping into the light to take political office. There are 26 medical professionals in the US Congress, only 2 are nurses. No wonder the US healthcare system just keeps getting worse. We don't have the correct people at the decision table. Here is just a brief overview of why a nurse should be in office: 1. We are excellent problem solvers-we constantly adapt and think outside the box 2. We lead with empathy and compassion 3. We are highly resilient-nothing keeps us down 4. We are the most trustworthy profession and are extremely ethical 5. We collaborate and communicate with a widely diverse population 6. We focus on prevention and wellness #HealingOurNation If you are looking for a presidential candidate for 2028, I'm the nurse for you #NoLabelParty

Maggie is dedicated to being a tireless champion for nurses. She strives to protect nurses' rights and elevate the nursing profession as a whole.
👏 Shoutout to Alex (The Break Nurse) Whitefield, MSN, RN! 👏 In the realm of #nursing, where outdated practices persist, Alex is a beacon of innovation. His groundbreaking software tackles a pervasive issue—#nurse breaks. Here's why it matters: When a #nurse assumes care of patients and takes on additional assignments during another #nurses break this is not just a workflow challenge; it's a risk to #patientsafety and legal liability to the nurse and the organization. As stated by a lawyer: "Knowingly and willing taking on an unsafe assignment is the definition of medical malpractice." I've witnessed firsthand how taking on an unsafe assignment even when relieving another nurse for a break compromises response times and exposes both nurses and facilities to potential failures to respond - aka bad outcomes and litigation. Under rules and regulations and codes of ethics, it's the duty and responsibility of all nurses to provide a safe environment for all patients and I am here to remind all #nurses that nothing supersedes the professional license of a provider ever! What Alex has created is revolutionary! It's not just about providing breaks; it's about ensuring continuity of care and mitigating risks - a gift to any organization. When there's a relief #nurse, work continues seamlessly, preventing delays and potential legal repercussions to the nurse and the organization. As a nurse with 23 years of critical care experience and former investigator for a board as well as a civil and administrative expert, I've seen the consequences of inadequate staffing and lack of breaks cost patients their lives and nurses their licenses. Alex's solution isn't just a win for nurses—it's a win for organizations. It saves thousands of dollars in legal fees and fines from governing bodies, improves #nurse satisfaction and retention, and, most importantly, enhances #patientcare and safety. Another HUGE thanks to Rebecca Love RN, MSN, FIEL for connecting us, I love meeting trailblazing nurses. I'm thrilled to connect with Alex at #vive2024! #nurses are taking the helm, advocating for change, and making a real impact on healthcare outcomes and I am proud to stand amongst them. Let's continue this momentum and usher in a new era of #nursing excellence! We are done with asking to have a seat at the table and creating our own, come on over to the South Pavilion and visit us all!!! 💪🌟 Alex, I cannot wait to meet you in person at VIVE2024!!! #Nurses come and connect with us in the NURSE PAVILION and see how nurses are changing the face of healthcare!! #ISTANDWITHNURSES RescueRN Mick Hopkins RNegade Jenny Finnell Jean Ross, RN

Nurse Educator | Leader | Professional Development Specialist | An empowered nurse who strives to empower fellow nurses through continuing education and professional development.
Nursing is not just a job; it’s an identity. People often ask me why I still call myself a nurse when I’m not working in a hospital or wearing scrubs. The truth is, being a nurse goes far beyond the uniform. It’s how I think, how I act, and how I approach every challenge. Nursing has taught me the art of multitasking (and yes, I can juggle more than just IV lines!), the importance of compassion (whether I’m comforting a patient or a colleague), and the skill of problem-solving under pressure (because sometimes, life doesn’t come with a call button). So, even if you see me in a suit instead of scrubs, I’ll proudly call myself a nurse. I may be in a different specialty now, but the core of who I am hasn’t changed. Plus, let’s be honest, whether in scrubs or a suit—I’m still a pretty good-looking nurse 😜! Nursing isn’t just a career—it’s a lifelong identity. And I’ll always proudly carry that with me, no matter where my path leads. #NursingIdentity #ProudNurse #BeyondTheScrubs #NurseForLife #NursesOnLinkedin
