Previously with friends, we have talked about this. It's not only tiresome but downward disgusting to see a company (or maybe the HR) have the audacity to offer what is legally required as the bare minimum to be a benefit. "Working in a dynamic and fun environment" This is not a benefit. To have a good work culture is part of work health and safety. It is a human right for everyone to work in a safe and healthy environment both physically and mentally. Good company culture should be the basic standard. "Performance review without reward" is not a benefit. "great opportunity to explore some industry" is not a benefit. Annual leave is not a benefit unless you offer additional leaves from the legally required minimum.
Dear recruitment teams, Stop calling mandatory social welfare (by BPJS) a BENEFIT. If it's mandatory, it's not a benefit. Real benefits are things like WFA policies or allowances. Salary and social welfare are mandatory, so let's be clear about what's actually a benefit. Yes, some (a lot of) companies don't even comply with those obligations. It's good for you to comply with that. But it can never be classified as a BENEFIT if it is MANDATORY.
