Benefits can get better while costs go down! Selfishly, it’s really fun to see your clients thriving. These results are not anomalies. Starhealth Insurance * Gross Management * Consistent Communication Failure * Inappropriate Responses I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the experience I've had with your team regarding the return of my documents. Despite following up for nearly a month, I have yet to receive a satisfactory response due to poor management, miscommunication, and inconsistent coordination within your team. Initially, I was advised to contact the support team, which promised a 15-day turnaround time. However, upon follow-up, I was directed to the grievance team, which asked me to wait an additional 15 days. Furthermore, your courier vendor has failed to deliver my documents, which have been stuck just 7 km away from the destination since July 20th. When I collected them from their office, I discovered that my CT scan films were missing. I am appalled by the repetition of these issues and the failure of your system to manage a troubled customer like myself. This has caused me significant suffering and unnecessary delays. I demand complete service recovery and accountability for this situation. Please explain how you plan to rectify this and ensure that I can continue to trust your services. Waking up to big news this morning thanks to NYT’s expose on the troublesome financial structure of MultiPlan’s business model and the major insurers benefiting from their alliances with the company. MultiPlan works with major medical carriers to negotiate lower costs for out-of-network doctors and providers “on behalf” of employers. This sounds great on paper but these groups are making money off the “savings” to employers and often end up charging them fees higher than the original medical bills, while employees are still left to pay large bills and providers are taking major pay cuts. It’s a lose-lose-lose (except for MultiPlan and its partners, of course). Health insurance is complicated stuff in an extremely incestuous and nuanced industry. The huge barrier to entry in understanding for the average person is something that’s serving these types of unjust structures well. They are hiding in plain sight under the guise of complexity. The NYT’s report is (hopefully) ringing alarm bells for employers and the employees they insure nationwide. Employers looking to offer protection to their workforce shouldn’t need to have a PHD in how this system works in order to rest assured that they are providing the best coverage for their employees and that the partners they work with to do so have the same goal. #healthinsurance #medicalbilling #employers #employees #healthcare #MultiPlan #NYT #healthcareindustry #providers #insurance
