The DNR is seeking to fill multiple permanent, full-time Contract & Senior Contract Officer positions in the Regional Services unit. The selected candidates will have the option to report to one of the following locations: Bemidji, Grand Rapids, New Ulm, or St. Paul, MN. Specific location will be determined at time of selection. These positions exist to perform and administer contract functions of the Department of Natural Resources on a statewide basis for construction and service projects. These positions evaluate, review, and approve or reject contract submissions by Department staff for compliance with Department of Administration standards, state and federal regulations and/or procedures and DNR policy. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 🌳Develop and administer the contracting process for maintenance, repair, resource development, remodeling, construction, and service contracts of the DNR. Ensure that conflicts of interest do not arise, and that all contracts support the DNR mission. 🌳Provide oversight, advice, technical assistance, and direction and training to DNR staff to obtain, maintain and execute contract services so that all legal requirements and the needs of the Department are met. 🌳Assist unit staff and managers in processing contract and fiscal related activities to ensure timely processing of various tasks. 🌳Evaluate, critique, and approve or reject all construction and services contracts bid packages proposed by contract staff, as needed. 🌳Process contracts for divisions and communicate improvements or corrective action necessary; and review all supporting documents for completeness of information.
