If you're looking to improve your life and haven't yet listened to Dr. Joe Dispenza, I highly recommend giving him a try. The video below is a bit long, but there are plenty of shorter clips if you prefer. I listened to this one during my walk today and found so much valuable insight in it. What if you consciously chose the thoughts you focus on each day? By deciding who you want to be before you even open your eyes in the morning, you can train your brain to shift from being a record of your past to becoming a map to a better future. In doing so, you have the power to change your world for the better. https://lnkd.in/gYBbTXdN

Episode #76 The Science of Summer Hydration: Unlocking the Secrets to Staying Properly Hydrated In this episode, we're diving into a topic that's essential for everyone, especially as we move into the hot summer months: proper hydration. Hydration is more than just drinking 8 cups of water—it's about optimizing how our bodies use and benefit from water. This informative episode explores how we can achieve true hydration and why it matters so much for our health. Topics explored: * True hydration is about hydrating your cells, not just drinking water. * Eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables provides structured water that’s easier for your body to utilize. * Structured, mineralized water is more beneficial than completely purified water. * Movement and natural environments enhance hydration. * Positive thoughts and environments can influence the water in your body, as shown by Dr. Emoto’s work. * Quality of water matters, as evidenced by Dr. Zach Bush's observations on the different effects of chlorinated vs. salt water on our skin. * Be cautious with commercial hydration packets that may contain additives harmful to brain health; opt for natural sources like coconut water for better hydration. * Hydration is a lifelong practice, essential for maintaining good health and optimal bodily functions. By understanding and implementing certain principles, we can significantly improve your hydration and overall well-being. Remember, you are a miracle, and your health and knowledge are powerful tools in your journey to optimal wellness!

Today is the first day of my daughters 3rd year of Medical School. This year she will be doing clinical rotations. As you can imagine, she’s feeling all kinds of ways about it. So…I took her to see the movie Inside Out 2. Yes! 2 grown women went and watched Inside Out 2 and…enjoyed it! Our take-a-way: In life, our emotions shape our experiences. Each feeling - whether joy, sadness, anger, or anxiety, plays a vital role in our journey towards self-discovery and resilience. Each emotion holds valuable insights and lessons, guiding us towards a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us. I encouraged my daughter, just as the movie did, to pause and reflect on the emotions that have colored her experiences thus far. What have they taught you? How have they shaped your resilience and growth? Rather than shying away from discomfort or trying to suppress certain emotions, we should welcome them. By embracing all our emotions, we cultivate emotional intelligence and inner strength that can weather any storm. As she heads off today for her first rotation, excited, nervous, and a little bit worried, (mostly about the doctor she’ll be working with) I encouraged her to embrace all her emotions, for within them lies the key to a more resilient, authentic, and empowered self! Most importantly, I reminded her that if anxiety decides to grab hold, find Joy, she’ll ask and help anxiety to “let go” 🩵 #healthcare #emotions #resilience #doctor #leadership #medstudent #futuredoctor #joy
