How important is personal appearance in business? Unfortunately, personal appearance does affect how others perceive us and the assessment they give to our abilities. I made a conscious decision to “button up” my appearance prior to starting Shomotion LLC. Interestingly enough, this decision was based more on securing bank funding for trucks and trailers then my client’s perception of me. What do you think, how critical is personal appearance in the post Covid business environment?

I'm one of many people who owes Travis Kalanick and @Uber a nod for starting the original "sharing" business model... When we started @Revelation Machinery, the premise was simple: 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝘆 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆. 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻'𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, 𝗶𝗳 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗵. The result? We now participate in connecting hundreds of these buyers and sellers each month. Whatever your napkin idea is. Go for it. Worst case, you'll learn a ton :)

Managing Director/Owner of Peace Recruitment, Scotland's agency of choice and one stop shop for all your Construction and Property recruitment requirements.
I had this AMAZING business development idea a few years ago, here's what i did..... I bought 5x remote controlled JCB's (much like the picture below) and I sent them to some construction clients I really wanted to work with, BUT the key thing was I opened the box and removed the remote control 😈🤣 Along with the remoteless JCB I attached a note saying "Hope you enjoy playing with the gift in your office, I will happily drop round the remote control at a time that works for you. I really admire your business and I would love the opprtunity to support you from a recruitment perspective" Did I get any work from it?????? Client 1 - Posted the JCB back to me with a note saying "not interested" Client 2 - emailed saying "nice try Chris, i have dropped off the JCB to the charity shop, please send them the remote control, here is their address" Client 3 - called and said "we have a PSL, but I like your thinking" (I dropped off the remote and never met the client) Client 4 and 5 - I heard nothing. Quite a shite ending to an otherwise decent LinkedIN post eh......🤣🤣 PS - We work with 3 out the 5 clients now BTW, but it had nothing to do with my "amazing" BD idea. It's cause i hired better people than myself and they grafted till the client seen the value in our service.

Being small has it’s advantages. Here’s how I used being small as leverage (to win big): My first official business was making jeans. I had six industrial sewing machines, the whole nine. Denim and thread were my biggest recurring expenses. I used the (best) suppliers. Their customers were: Levis, 7 for all mankind, J Brand, Etc. Big companies order (large amounts). For example, Levis would order 100 spools of thread (weekly). It’s a common practice to give (free) samples. If you like. You place an order. A sample for Levis, was a sample. A sample for me, could last me years (bc the spools are huge) I used it as leverage. I ordered (free samples) for years. It was nothing for them, but everything for me. 90 percent of my expenses were free because I was small. Being small doesn't have to be a disadvantage. It allows you to fly under the radar. The trick is being small, but playing big. Always forward, Terrence ・・・ If you found this useful, follow for more 🤝 Helping Creators and Solopreneurs achieve financial success.

🚀Excited to share with everyone, I've just uploaded the actual working prototype video of our "Ashray" project!⏯️ Our team has integrated two revenue models to sustain the growth of the project. Firstly, we've implemented an ads-based revenue module. In this model, we've designated a dedicated section on the home page where various brands can showcase their products and services. Additionally, we've introduced a subscription-based revenue model. Here, we've tailored two plans, one for tenants and another for buyers. These subscription plans offer users premium features and benefits, enhancing their experience on our platform while generating revenue to support our ongoing development efforts. We believe that these revenue models will not only ensure the sustainability of "Ashray" but also enable us to continue providing innovative solutions for rural tenants and landlords, without any brokerage charges.🌟 Check Prototype Model: [ashray.lovestoblog.com] (Please Open In Laptop Or PC) #Ashray #PropertyShowcasing #RevenueModels #Innovation

How do you know when it’s time to scale a business? A good indicator is when you reach your max. For example, I only need 2-4 clients max at a time to hit my monthly goal that allows me to pay myself, team, and other expenses. When you hit your max, your face with a “what’s next” situation. Often times, we are told to build a team. This can look like employees or subcontractors to complete client work for you. Another missed opportunity by many businesses is licensing. Originally, I went the subcontractor route, and while things flowed well, it gave me more work than I really wanted. With licensing, I teach other people to mimic how I conduct business with my clients down to rentention methods. With this, I don’t have to worry about managing more people, I bring in more income, and other people can have free reign on how they use my playbook. There is no right or wrong answer here, but as someone that plans to sell within five years or so, licensing makes more sense for me. If any of this resonated with you, feel free to send a DM on how documenting your operational processes for licensing can benefit you and how we can potentially work together in 2024.
