We cannot advance data equity without addressing disparities for everyone in our communities. One group that health systems continue to overlook is LGBTQ individuals. Continuously neglecting the needs of LGBTQ populations results in disparities that directly impact their health and wellbeing. Although there have been improvements to data collection over the years, we still have a ways to go. We need to make improvements to close these health gaps for good.
