Not every installation goes as planned…. We installed this project maybe a year ago now and had to go make a repair. The LED strip light had become detached from the underside of the wall cap. The caps are are dark (almost black) smooth limestone and they get extremely hot in the sun. We think a couple of factors led to the strip light adhesive failing. 1. Type of adhesive & quantity used during application. 2. The smooth texture of both the strip light and the wall cap. 3. The extreme heat the caps put off. Solution: We removed the old adhesive from the strip lights, roughed up the surface and applied a more heavy duty adhesive. We’ll leave it clamped for a few days and it should be good as new! The takeaway here is to always consider the site conditions for your application and to understand that there’s always a new way of doing something.

Step 5: Assembly - The Heartbeat of Building Any Outdoor Lamp! In this step, we'll start by getting familiar with wiring and installing sockets. Steps for Installing Sockets in Outdoor Lamps: * Choosing the Right Wire: In this step, we use a wire that's suitable for outdoor lamps. Typically, color-coded wires with a strong insulation are used so that the wire coating doesn't easily peel off. * Stripping the Wire: Using a pair of pliers, wire cutters, or automatic wire strippers, a small portion of the insulation on the wire is removed to expose the copper wire inside. * Wiring the Socket: In this step, the stripped wires are inserted into the sockets and tightened with screws to ensure a good connection between the wire and the socket, preventing the wires from easily coming loose. * Placing the Wired Socket in the Lamp Cap: In this step, the electrical wires are passed through the garden lamp pole and out the other side. Then, the socket is carefully screwed onto the lamp cap to establish a tight connection.

If you have a glazing leak, the first thing you'll want to do is to understand the drainage path of the assembly. Every system is designed to be somewhat unique, but the same principle always applies - water must be managed. You may see this in the form of a pressure equalized cavity, intermittently spaced weeps, notched gaskets, sealed & tooled joinery conditions, etc.. Air & water leakage can be tricky as what may appear as the troublesome area may be a second order effect of a greater underlying deficiency. Once you are able to identify the point of failure, the question becomes the following - do you have access to fix it?

This is a huge problem for the unitized Curtain wall systems when the facade is already installed in a major number of cases it's impossible to solve the leaking properly, and can bring a warranty to the owner that this kind of problem doesn't occur again in another unit. Some expensive curtain wall systems get access to solve these issues but normally are out of budget. here the factory QC control is the hidden actor to have a successful project. what do you think?

Countertop installers sometimes need to modify cabinetry to fit floating brackets under countertops, especially when supporting overhangs. This involves precise measurements and careful cuts into the cabinetry to create spaces for the brackets. The brackets are then installed to provide hidden support for extended countertop sections. This not only ensures stability but also maintains a clean and appealing appearance. Skilled installers use their expertise to seamlessly integrate these brackets for a functional and visually pleasing result.

When choosing your racking installer, it's important to remember that experience doesn't necessarily guarantee safety. It’s very easy in any job to pick up bad habits or even worse, not learn the correct methods and skills in the first place. Any small change during installation that’s different from manufacturer’s design can impact on the structure stability of your racking. That’s why you need to work with installers who have been trained in correct installation methods. Learn more here https://lnkd.in/enxjpTT2 #SEMA #RackingInstallation #SEIRS
