The 2024 Disability Equality Index® report, released at the Disability:IN Global Conference & Expo, shows promising year-over-year adoption rates for disability inclusion practices. However, it also underscores the need for more focus on diversity reporting, supplier diversity spending, and boardroom inclusion.

Disability:IN's 2024 Disability Equality Index® report showcases notable improvements in disability inclusion practices among U.S. companies. "The report highlights a significant rise in diversity reporting, with 45% of companies publishing data that includes disability metrics, up from 24% in 2023. Additionally, 71% of companies ensure their digital products are accessible, compared to 64% last year. However, boardroom inclusion remains low, with only 11% of companies having an openly disabled director and a mere 3% reporting on disability at the board level."
