It can be confusing when job seekers respond to job postings by simply commenting "I am interested" or their email address instead of following the provided application instructions. If you're a job seeker who is unsure about how to apply, here are some things you can do: 1. Read the job posting carefully: Make sure you understand what the employer is asking for and how they want to receive applications. 2. Follow the instructions: If the job posting asks you to email your resume and cover letter to a specific address, do so. Job applications. Write about your achievements Im sure job hunters have read this so many times but it's worth repeating. You cannot stand out from the crowd if you merely regurgitate a job description in your CV. Other applicants will also be doing this.. By all means, do say what you were responsible for in brief bullet points. This does build credibility, but it's not enough. What puts you on a higher, unique level is providing the results and outcome you achieved as a result of your endeavours. Either you achieved these results yourself or collaborated/contributed with others. Use quantifiable facts and figures as evidence i.e. increased sales by X %, obtained approval ratings of x/10, achieved a satisfaction score of x/5, etc. You can perfect your answer, with conviction, in how you achieved these results later, once you've got past the filtering stages. #careerdevelopment #careertransition #jobapplications #redundancy

References' Contact Information Without Permission: Do not include other people's contact details as references without their consent. This can lead to data misuse or fraud. Always ensure you have permission before listing reference contacts. 4. Current and Previous Salary: Avoid mentioning specific salary figures in your CV. This information is better discussed during interviews or contract negotiations. Recruiters typically don’t consider it during the initial CV screening stage. 4moVery well put. Also, don't send a message on LinkedIn to a person you don't know and be very informal and beg for a job. And when they didn't reply to your DM within an hour send another message saying you are desperate and the person 'must assist'. Not professional at all. Who says this person is hiring? CVs need to tell a story. Where you have been and what you want to learn.
