First of all, I would like to thank you for going deep in such topic. Getting into finance sector is more like a challenge specially for fresh graduates. Because simply If someone is majoring in finance then he/she is willing to work in finance related jobs not customer service or call center, so most of HRs have concerns regarding giving you a job in finance because they see you are a fresh grad with no experience! But how can a fresh grad get the work experience or the qualifications the HRs are asking for!! The HR or the employer need to understand that those applying for the job are willing to learn and to have that work experience you as an HR is wishing for. They can test them with simple basic things as: - testing their communication skills - testing how they deal with other (i.e to see how are they with team work) - testing their knowledge of finance based on what they have learnt in university - making iq tests, situational tests, etc. So, they can test if he/she really is a good fit and eager to learn what they desire in job description.

Also, it comes to my attention when there is a job vacancy saying “fresh graduates finance intern” Or “finance vacancy for entry level” , etc. And in qualifications they require at least 1 year experience!😅 How come a fresh grad would have a full time job with 3 years experience in finance & investment during university😅 Why fresh graduates majoring in finance have that difficulty of getting into finance sector? Why most of them have to start a call center or customer service or teller?, all of these jobs has nothing to do with finance sector specifically jobs like financial analyst, financial adviser, financial accounting, financial trader and so on. How come some HRs see that being a call center as a start is good for finance major? How can taking calls from customers, answering their questions or addressing any concerns they may have will give me experience in making financial analysis or in making valuation and checking Financial Statements?! They need to learn about the finance sector and real market and how things really work.

And finally, some employers need to understand that the persons whom they interview are really interested in the job because if they weren’t interested they wouldn’t have applied for the job, and they need your help in giving them the opportunity to start and step by step they will gain the experience you were asking for. They just need an opportunity & ur help.

It needs too much experience but we should all believe that experience will come by practicing in work
