We recently had the privilege of facilitating a dynamic game-based learning program for the incredible MRU division team at L&T, executing a high-stakes project for ADNOC in Abu Dhabi. Under the skilled guidance of Bhaskar Thyagarajan, this programme was designed to honour the team’s impressive journey so far and to prepare them for the challenges ahead as they move into the next complex phase. This team has demonstrated remarkable agility, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence in meeting their metrics, despite working in extreme conditions with demanding deadlines and diverse stakeholders. Their work has been nothing short of exceptional, with flawless outcomes and a 100% safety record. As they near the completion of a critical phase, the program encouraged team members to pause, reflect on their achievements, and strategize on the skillsets and collaborative approaches needed to sustain and build upon their successes. The day was filled with challenging exercises that brought team members together across functions, reinforcing their interdependence and fostering stronger bonds. We witnessed a group of professionals who are not only committed to getting the job done but are also eager to reach even greater heights in the next stages of the project. A special thanks to Anupam Ghosal and Suchithra Sundaram, the champions of this initiative! I had the honor of visiting the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, specifically the Jazan City for Primary and Advanced Industries. It was an enriching experience where I learned about the Commission's directions and the strategic plans being implemented to achieve the ambitious goals of Vision 2030. I had the opportunity to explore the investment mechanisms and operational processes adopted by the Commission, and how they contribute to sustainable development in the region. I also learned about the strategies for attracting investments and facilitating the business environment in Jazan City for Primary and Advanced Industries. During the visit, we reviewed a number of leading companies investing in the city, including: - Saudi Aramco - Cristal - STEPCO - Al Reef Sugar Refinery - Solb Steel - JIGPC - Saudi Coffee Company - Al Hadi Group This experience was truly inspiring, especially given my interest in the workings of the ecosystem in general. I feel motivated by the available opportunities and the significant potential that Jazan City for Primary and Advanced Industries holds.
