Lessons Learnt from Sipping Sangria! 🍹 So there I was, in Granada, Spain sipping on a Sangria! (yes, the one in the pic! 😁) and trying to pretend that the ‘long to-do list’ that I decided to pack with my swimmers was going to get done! I mean, who hasn’t travelled with their laptop, thinking they can conquer the world while sipping cocktails? It was on the second Sangria that I realized - sometimes, despite our best intentions, we just need to take a breath and embrace the do nothing but sip, eat and swim ethos. Finally surrendering to the idea of not opening my laptop at all and allowed myself time out to enjoy my trip accompanied by the thought 'I am not saving the world!' Stepping out of the grind and embracing new locations gave space to new ideas and new possibilities - where the magic truly happens. Sometimes life works better when you don’t have a plan – even if it’s for a short time. The grind is always there waiting – generally all for the better for taking some time out.
