You can't lose a deal you never had. Unfortunately, AE's let this happen all the time. Get happy ears. Moving too fast. Don't do their due diligence with prospects. And then, you get "blindsided" out of nowhere that kills your deal. Don't be so eager to get something across the finish line when it all sounds good. Have healthy skepticism. Although planning and strategising for the new quarter is important, reflecting and learning from the previous one is of utmost importance. Make new mistakes; don't repeat the previous ones. Reflect on the previous quarter: evaluate your strategies, what could you do differently to win more deals, how can you make the discovery call more fruitful, which cadences worked and which didn't, and how could you manage your work more effectively.
