If there's an object impaled in the eye, it's a medical emergency that requires immediate care. Follow these steps carefully: 1. **Do Not Touch the Eye or the Object:** It's crucial not to try to remove or touch the impaled object. 2. **Call for Emergency Help Immediately:** This type of injury needs quick medical intervention. 3. **Do Not Apply Pressure to the Eye:** Avoid putting pressure on the injured eye, as this could worsen the situation. 4. **Cover the Eyes:** Use a clean bandage or a paper cup turned upside down over the injured eye to protect it. It's important to cover both eyes to prevent movement of the injured eye. 5. **Do Not Administer Any Medication:** Especially painkillers, as they might affect the treatment once the patient reaches the hospital. 6. **Keep Yourself and the Victim Calm:** Staying calm is important in such situations to manage the injury more effectively until help arrives. 7. **Follow Any Instructions from Emergency Services:** When you call for help, follow any guidance they provide. This type of injury is serious and requires immediate medical attention to avoid more severe problems like loss of vision. https://lnkd.in/dZWijvE5
