Dream. Create. Inspire. Experienced Technology CMO, CTO/Innovation Manager & Business Growth/Sales Manager
Product: Namx SUV Fuel: hydrogen Expected delivery: 2028 Fill time: 3 minutes Range: 800km Designer: Faouzi Annajah Project funding: King Mohammed VI of Morocco Point: Australia had a world class automotive component design and manufacturing sector, that in 2001 displayed an Australian designed 4 door sedan made entirely from advanced components made in Australia. It was kyboshed by the foreign automobile assemblers because it was unwanted competition that involved redirecting subsidies to profitable car makers to Australian industry to produce an Australian product and keep profits in Australia. I know that for a fact because I was CMO for an Australian company that owned one of the automotive component manufacturers behind the capability demonstrator. It’s not technical and manufacturing capability that Australia lacks to create advanced manufacturing industries. Not by a long chalk! In fact, we have world class capabilities in every single domain, including hydrogen production, complex product engineering and design, automation systems and advanced manufacturing, required to create complex technology products - including road, rail, marine and aerial transportation. Even space transportation systems. It’s political will, political vision, political commitment to Australian industry, government mandated focus areas, and investment, that we lack. #hydrogenfuel #electrictransportation #futureofmanufacturing https://lnkd.in/g3uMqQHk

The EV Frontier: Saudi Arabia's Drive Toward a Sustainable Tomorrow In the burgeoning metropolis of Saudi Arabia, a strategic pivot is redefining mobility. With Vision 2030 crystallizing into reality, the Kingdom is steering away from its storied oil legacy to embrace the electric vehicle (EV) revolution with open arms. The country's automotive sector is witnessing a paradigm shift, fueled by a government committed to nurturing an EV ecosystem through substantial investments and policy support. This is more than diversification; it's a commitment to sustainable development, with the Kingdom laying down the infrastructure for a future where electric cars are the norm, not the exception. As the global gaze turns to the Middle East, Saudi Arabia is poised as a fertile ground for EV adoption, powered by a tech-savvy generation ready to trade in gas for electricity. This is a market where luxury meets technology, and the appetite for innovation drives consumer behavior. Yet, the road to electrification isn't without its dunes to cross. New entrants must navigate the extremes – from the searing heat that tests battery life to a culture deeply entwined with automotive heritage. Your strategy must not only present a compelling EV model but also resonate with the Kingdom's unique blend of tradition and modernity. This is where opportunity meets the horizon. With each charging station erected, the Kingdom signals readiness for businesses to plug in. The National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) stands as a testament to the country’s readiness for a connected, electric future, offering a gateway for market entrants to align with the national vision. The challenge for new players is clear: integrate into the Saudi narrative by aligning your brand with the local ethos while pushing the envelope of what an EV can represent. From affordable urban commuters to luxury performance vehicles, segmentation is key. But even more crucial is the cultural chord your brand strikes – one that harmonizes innovation with the values that drive Saudi society. In summation, the Saudi EV market beckons with promise and potential. It's a canvas awaiting strokes of innovation, partnerships, and strategic ingenuity. For those ready to embark on this electric journey, the Kingdom's roads are open, and the future is electrifying. #KSAVision2030 #SustainableMobility #ElectricVehicles #MarketStrategy #InnovationCulture #SaudiAutomotive
