However, oftentimes this excitement is a distraction that blinds us to the insidious undercurrents that slowly erode our sense of selves. People always before machines and technology "Let's remember that while Intelligence can afford to be artificial, we must strive to be as human as possible to be able to rely on each other". I read this phrase from my wise friend and colleague @eduardobraun a few weeks back, and it got me thinking. Humanity, on its entirety has seen an incredible evolution in technological advancements over the past few decades, and these developments have been incredibly beneficial for everyone in every aspect of our daily lives: from communication to workspaces, travel, economics, learning processes and many more things. But, indeed, at times, we get so caught up in the high speed of evolution that we can seem to forget or lose sight of what is essential: human connection and interaction and the importance of not the technology itself but of those that make it possible by many years of hard work, science, and knowledge. Face-to-face interactions, connections, and conversations are the most effective ways of building relationships and networking, and this is almost as old as time and will continue to be for years to come. Everybody needs their village and their people because we are social beings and thrive and grow in connection to others.
