☀ Monday Motivation with Moi Panda ☀ 🧠 Do you know? Children's brains are incredibly active from birth! 🧠 By age 3, about 85% of their brain's core structure is already formed. This incredible fact highlights the importance of early learning programs in shaping their development. 📚 Research shows that children who hear more conversations in their early years tend to achieve better academic success later on. Engaging in meaningful conversations with your little ones isn't just about bonding—it's a crucial investment in their future! 🌟 It's never too early to start talking and engaging with your children. Whether it's through reading stories, singing songs, or simply chatting about your day, every interaction counts. Lately, we've been dealing with a lot of children with developmental delays, unrelated neurodivergence. They simply are not being stimulated in the relevant developmental area - whether in speech, movement, socially or emotionally. Here's a fun scientific fact - about 90% of brain development occurs before age 5. Children need to be stimulated in the different areas if they are to develop. I want know why this isn't being taken as seriously as it is... because it carries all the way through to frustrations in the work place, but that's a topic for another day! Here are some basic tips for parents and teachers on what to do with your kids: - Read to them. Also let them look at books and talk about what they see. - Ask them open ended questions. Instead of "Did you like that movie?" rather ask, "What was your favourite part of that movie?" - Let them learnt to do things by themselves - even if it's not perfect. Bath themselves, feed themselves, pick stuff up and move things around and clean up after themselves. Calm down:) It doesn't have to be perfect, and if its perfection you want, they won't get there by you doing it for them. Remember, it takes practice. - Let their little fingers explore things of different shape, size and texture - like, playdough, pegs, sand, locks and keys, puzzles - we call it manipulation. It strengthens the hand for writing. - Let them play, play, play. Children are natural learners! They will teach themselves a lot by discovery. - Lastly, get them into preschool early! It can only be beneficial! #ECD #EducationinEswatini #ECDEswatini #Preschool #EarlyLearning #EarlyChildhood

Curiosity is the cornerstone of learning and growth, especially in children. When a child asks questions, it’s a sign of their desire to understand the world around them. As parents, educators, and caregivers, it’s crucial to nurture this natural curiosity. By encouraging a child’s questions, we help them develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of the world. Answering their queries, no matter how simple or complex, fosters a love for learning that will last a lifetime. Here’s why you should encourage your child when they ask questions: Builds Confidence: Responding to their questions positively reinforces that their thoughts and ideas are valued. Enhances Cognitive Development: Questioning helps children think critically and explore new concepts. Fosters Independence: Encouraging questions allows children to seek answers independently, nurturing self-reliance. Strengthens Bonding: Engaging in their inquiries creates meaningful conversations and strengthens your relationship. Promotes Lifelong Learning: A questioning mind leads to a lifelong love of learning, driving them to explore and innovate. Let’s embrace the ‘why’s, ‘how’s, and ‘what if’s and watch our children grow into thoughtful, inquisitive individuals. The next time your child asks a question, take the time to explore the answer together—you might just learn something new too! #parentingbyswatibhagchndka #CuriousKids #ParentingTips #ChildDevelopment #EarlyLearning #EncourageCuriosity #QuestionsMatter #KidsQuestions #ParentingGoals #RaisingThinkers #InquisitiveMinds #GrowthMindset #CriticalThinking #LifelongLearning #ChildhoodEducation #MindfulParenting #PositiveParenting #NurtureCuriosity #KidsLearning #ChildrenAndEducation #QuestionEverything #SmartKids #EmpowerKids #BrainDevelopment #ParentingAdvice #ChildGrowth #supportcuriosity

Your child's brain development is more connected to the amount of sensory learning/activities they engage in. How? Have you ever wondered why babies always - put their hands in their mouth - mouth toys & anything they lay their hands on - use their fingers in holes(especially holes of sockets) and want to grasp things with their hands? 📍It is because they are sensory inclined by default. What that means is that: 👉the neural pathways of their brain develop faster when engaged in sensory activities 👉 their cognitive skills, fine & gross motor skills become more efficient with sensory learning 👉 they develop more language & communication skills by engaging in more sensory learning/activities 👉 they are easily able to regulate emotionally & behaviourally with lots of sensory activities Join me this July as we explore a wide variety of sensory learning & sensory activities for your kids especially kids within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 0 to 5 years.
