📢 NEW PRODUCTS 📢 Today Imperx announces two new Cheetah cameras: the CXP-C1941 and the SFP-C1941. Both cameras feature the Sony Pregius IMX421 2.86 MP Global Shutter CMOS image sensor with a native resolution of 1920 x 1472 in a 2/3” optical format. Combining high sensitivity, high frame rates, and low dark current, the cameras are ideal for a broad range of demanding applications including automation, inspection, sports, surveillance, traffic, medical imaging and cell biology. The CoaXPress version of the camera, CXP-1941 delivers up to 371.8 frames per second with dual CXP-6 CoaXPress output with Power over CoaXPress (PoCXP). The GigE version of the camera, SFP-C1941, achieves 319.4 frames per second using a 10GigE Version 2.0 interface via SFP+ transceiver, conforms to the GigE Vision 2.0 standard, and supports IEEE1588 PTP synchronization and Scheduled Action Commands. The SFP-1941 camera’s open SFP+ slot accepts a variety of commercially available SFP transceiver modules, including multi-mode and single mode 10GBase-R fiber and 10GBase-T copper modules. For both models, low power dissipation enables conductive cooling, making them ideal for high reliability and precision imaging applications. Both models support strobe outputs, trigger inputs, automatic exposure, automatic gain control with multiple LUTs, and other high-value functions and operate over an extended temperature range from -30 °C to +75 °C making them suitable for use in even the harshest of environments. “The sensitive 4.5-µm pixel and low dark current will benefit medical and scientific applications like cell biology and ophthalmology, while the high frame rate combined with Imperx’s signature ruggedization for outdoors address applications like sports broadcasting and traffic monitoring,” says Petko Dinev, Founder and CEO of Imperx. “With this latest generation of Cheetah cameras, transitioning from CCD to CMOS is a significant upgrade as opposed to just a replacement.” The Imperx Cheetah line of cameras provides excellent image quality with Imperx proprietary processing. Imperx puts customers in control and with full access to raw data without corrections. Using the simple, intuitive GenICamTM compliant user interface, users can quickly apply image corrections, if desired. Imperx is well known providing both off the shelf and customized camera solutions that are ruggedized to perform in extremes of temperature, vibration, and radiation. As with all Imperx camera models, customizations are possible, including additional ruggedization for specific environments.
