I'm sure most of you are pretty sick of the waterfall of IPHEX posts and photos these last few days across LI. Therefore, I promise to keep this post short! And also the last - pertaining to the event. So, what was missing at IPHEX 2024? Any negatives? Many, as per me. Firstly, let's set the context and the objective of the event. It primarily intends to gather global pharma importers with Indian manufacturers, with a specific focus on stimulating exports of finished dosage forms. All of it, to be staged under a state of the art exhibition center, reflecting the calibre of the Indian Pharmaceutical industry. So if you ask me, how do I find the IEML convention center. I'd give it a 5/10. Having exhibited in the past at ICCB in Dhaka, the IMPACT Convention Centre in Bangkok or even in Shanghai for CPHI, there's a lot that needs to be done with regards to the expo hall. There's nothing so dramatically wrong with it as such. But to me, it just doesn't seem to live up to the global standing of our industry and country. Did you have data connectivity issues at the event? So did we! Being connected seamlessly to high speed connections are just basic in 2024. Anything less, and our global repute of a tech driven nation gets severely hit. Were the organisers able to attract the right importers? This for me, is the most essential part. At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter to me - sitting at a wooden table with 2 chairs, under a half-broken fan, with data speed of 20 years back, as long as I'm talking to someone relevant, who I can genuinely do business with and who is actually there to find a partner. I found many of the foreign delegates present, who were graciously brought in by the organisers, to actually be officials from the Ministry of Health of their respective countries. I think a lot more can be done here too. Business development, i.e. finding new customers is not the easiest thing in the world. Ask any BD manager, a LOT of hard work needs to go into it. Lot of data drilling and analysis to eventually bring to the top only the relevant leads. And I think the organisers of IPHEX would gain a whole lot more with a surgical approach to attracting only relevant parties all the way to Greater Noida. After all, the end goal is to find the relevant channels for exports, right? Anyhow, these are the major things that kind of bugged me. Not too sure about the food quality at the venue, nor the cab availability at (or scarcity) at the end of the day. Oh yes, the smaller things matter too! But either way, it was good to see our friends across India, meet our global business partners, learn from our esteemed industry leaders and of course, last but not least, enjoy the energy of a 3 day outing with our colleagues! Yes, as agreed, this will be the last IPHEX 2024 post. But unfortunately, just couldn't keep it short as promised! Next stop... Milan! See you all there! #masterplan #pharma #export #India #IPHEX

And, let's not forget to mention the obvious... 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀!! A new and unique experience in the exhibitions industry

"What I like most about trade fairs is the unexpected," says Ralph von Arx, CEO at Retech. At Techtextil, it always promises to be particularly exciting. "A conversation at the booth usually starts with a general question about the heated godet rolls," says von Arx. One such conversation led to a new type of "thread" that constantly supplies a patient with a medical agent and later degrades in the body. Heated godet rolls from Retech play a key role in the production of innovative developments in order to achieve the requested characteristics of a synthetic thread. That "thread" in the medical field required a specially developed solution to heat the polymers for a single step in a complex production process.
